Sewer Showcase All-Showcase Teams

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wood Elite and FUH3 Athletix hosted their annual Sewer Showcase this past weekend. The energy was high for both the players attending and the instructors. There were several players that I was able to see for the first time as well as several that it was good to see again. Here are the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams from the event. Her ability to lead shows up everytime. Even during opening stretches she looked business minded. Once controlled possessions started it took only seconds before she showed off her quickness, slicing the defense for an easy score. As a lead guard, she brings scoring, toughness, and skill. Entering her junior season, she will look to balance out her own scoring ability with her ability to set up teammates in spots that they can produce. She's an unselfish guard with a scoring mentality. She uses quickness and strong command of the dribble to create scoring opportunites for herself. She has a craft bounce which made it hard for defenders to keep her out of the lane. She's an unselfish slashing guard who can consistently get paint touches. She uses quickness and strong command of the dribble to create scoring opportunities for herself. She has a crafty bounce which made it hard for defenders to keep her out of the lane. She repeatedly broke down the defense and made great passes off the bounce anywhere on the floor. She is enough of a threat from deep to keep defenders looking to stop her drives honest. She has some untapped potential with the intangibles to really add to her game. She is a solid defender on the ball as well. A lot to like about her. During station work it was easy to identify a feel for the game. Once we entered live play it was even clearer. She used quickness and long strides to penetrate the defense. She has a sneaky jump shot as well. During station work, it was easy to identify a feel for the game. Once we entered live play it was even clearer. She used quickness and long strides to penetrate the defense where she made good decisions on scoring or kicking to open teammates. She also showed a nice shot from behind the arc knocking in at least one in all live segments I watched her in. She was arguably the best on-ball defender at the event as well. Speaking with a few of the college coaches in attendance, she made an impression.  She has the true stretch-forward game. She is a capable perimeter scorer with the strength to muscle smaller defenders and a strong first step to get many interior players on her hip with one dribble. She is a catch-and-shoot threat which requires defenders to leave the paint when guarding her. She gives you everything needed on the inside as well. A consistent rebounder, physical defender, and contact finisher. I gave her a brief look at each station and there were very few deficencies. She has a ton of skill around the rim and has a very quick jump making it easy for her to grab defensive and offensive rebounds alike. She plays well through contact and if the foul is not called she does not complain but instead uses that quick jump to get a second look.
