Carvers Bay Girls Christmas Showcase

The Lady Vikings saw the return of sophomore <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='258135' first='Makayla' last='Legette']</strong> to the lineup. Legette just a sophomore averaged over 20 ppg last season as freshman for the Lady Vikings. She was able to drain 5 three-pointers on the night for her 15 points. Wilson HS was playing without the services of<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='444359' first='Janiya' last='Swinton'] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='444370' first='Logan' last='Murray']. </strong>Freshman <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='576593' first='Zoey' last='Miller']</strong> picked up the scoring slack with 19 points. Miller was able to drop some mid-range jumpers today when she wasn't finishing on the break. Zoey was constantly around the ball today on both ends of the court. Swinton 5'10 sophomore finished with 14 points. Leanissa brings good versatility and mobility to the floor. She was able to defend out on the perimeter at times and in return had a great nose for being around the ball. Swinton filled the lane in transition very nicely and was able to finish on the break. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Lady Bulldogs got a good boost from <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='576595' first='K'moni' last='Taylor']</strong> today. This game started out extremely slow for both teams. The Lady Bears would finally come out of hibernation in the second quarter and pull away for the win. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='356320' first='D'Essence' last='Graham']</strong> led the Lady Bears with 12 points today.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='250480' first='Jerchel' last='Geathers-Washington'] </strong>controlled the paint with 10 points and several rebounds. Geathers has great footwork and hands around the paint.
