After starting off with stations and drills, the excitement started to pick up as players were broken into teams by grade. Most of the younger players were looking to improve their games while many of the older players wanted to showcase for the media on hand. These are some of the players that stood out during the five hour event.
Jaela wore a cast on one hand but still participated in every drill and game session. Not only did she participate she competed and played well. She was pretty strong going against her her grade level and held her own against high school players.
Kamila Freiburger

In transition Kamila was great on both ends. She had a couple of nice chase down blocks and was able to weave through traffic to get to the basket. She will be a name to keep track of in high school.

Kai had a mature game for a middle schooler and was a standout amongst the high school players. Even her frame was high school ready as she exceled in every phase of the camp.

The way Kayla was helping out the younger players and mastering the drill work I had thought that she was one of the camp instructors as opposed to a participant. She may have been the best player there as she stood out with ease.
Afia Hunt

Afia mastered the drills but what was incredible was the way she walked through the other players in the 7th grade class. She did whatever she wanted against her peers and should be considered at this point as one of the top players in the 2028 class.
Cai has the talent to dominate this type of event. It seemed like she was relaxing through it, even so 80% of Cai is better than most of the players on the floor at any given time. She didn’t have her sister on the floor with her pushing her today and she knew that she was amongst the top players in the building walking in the gym.
