Afia was arguably the best on the ball defender for the weekend.
She was able to guard her opponents full court. Once finally crossing into half court, Afia understood how to use the sideline and half court line as another defender and was able to trap her opponent multiple times.
Her on the ball pressure allowed just three points (first half) when she was on the court and another six points during the second half, before the game got out of reach.

Afia is an underrated player on a loaded AAU team. Her college ready size allows her to play and guard multiple positions from 1-4. Her length on defense was her best attribute in PA. Her wide stance and balanced feet, physicality, and awareness not to reach will always keep her on the court. Offensively, she had two nice drives to the left that showed can score when the play has broken down or her team needs a bucket.

Afia is a steady lead guard who creates good shots for her teammates often and does a great job of always looking to attack and looking to make positive things happen for her team on the offensive end. She is a player that can get downhill in a hurry and finishes well at the rim. She has a nice feel for the game and is always looking to force turnovers at the defensive to turn defense into offense.

Good size for a guard and really showed her ability during the training stations. Good ball handler with a nice shot! Her day was cut short due to injury but Afia has all the tools to be a productive player.

Afia has nice handles and controls the ball well. She plays with a lot of confidence and doesn’t appear to be a freshman on the court. She can get more efficient and use less dribbles to achieve her goals but her game is solid enough to grab a top ten spot.
