The 2022-23 High School season is coming to an end this week, here are some of the top performing wings and forwards in the class of 2025.
Jade Jones Jade Jones 5'11" | SF King's Academy | 2025 State FL (Kings Academy) – 5’11 Guard / Wing – Class of 2025
Jade Jones Jade Jones 5'11" | SF King's Academy | 2025 State FL is the heart and soul of King’s Academy. The 5’11 wing is extremely versatile and plays hard each and every possession on both ends of the floor. She never takes a play off, she is always around the basketball and is the ultimate competitor. She does a great job setting the tone, tempo, and energy for her squad night in and night out. She leads her King’s squad to Lakeland in hopes of the playing the spoiler and taking home an FHSAA state championship.
Kylee Kitts Kylee Kitts 6'0" | PF Faith Christian Academy | 2024 FL (Faith Christian Academy) – 6’3 Wing / Forward – Class of 2025
Kitts keeps getting taller, stronger, more versatile, and has a continued development on the offensive end. She does a great job advancing defensive rebounds to start break and attacking in transition. She has the ability to play inside and out with decent handle, 15 feet range and a long build that makes her a matchup nightmare. Her offensive development is truly impressive as she improves every time I see her play and is one of the class of 2025 biggest stock risers.
Kali Barrett Kali Barrett 6'2" | SF Cardinal Mooney | 2025 State FL (Cardinal Mooney) – 6’1 Wing/Forward – Class of 2025
Barrett is long, athletic and versatile and is having a big-time season for Cardinal Mooney leading her squad to the final 4 in Lakeland this week. Barrett uses her length, wingspan and versatility exceptionally well playing both inside and out. She averaged close to a double double (15.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game) as a Sophomore, showcasing why she is one of the top prospects in the class of 2025.
Lourdes Da Silva Costa Lourdes Da Silva Costa 6'3" | PF Monteverde Academy | 2025 State FL (Montverde Academy) – 6’3 Forward – Class of 2025
Da Silva Costa is young and talented, comes off the bench for Montverde Academy impacting the game in the paint and as a rebounder and shot blocker. She has great athleticism and moves exceptionally well for a player of her height and mass. She has really good hands, a soft touch, and is highly skilled and has a high basketball IQ.
Riley Stoker Riley Stoker 6'0" | PG Somerset Prep North Lauderdale | 2025 State FL (Somerset Prep) – 6’2 Wing
Stoker is a long wing that put up 10.5 points and 6.4 rebounds a game for the revamped Somerset Prep roster in her sophomore campaign. Capable of putting it to the floor from the wing or baseline, stepping out and knocking down open 3s, and using her size and length to finish in the paint, Stoker is one of the most intriguing prospects in the class of 2025 with a major upside.
Holland Harris Holland Harris 6'2" | SF Monteverde Academy | 2025 State FL (Faith Christian Academy) – 6’1 Wing / Forward – Class of 2025
Harris is talented and skilled with a knack for scoring the ball. She can play the wing and the forward spot, stepping out and stretching the defense out to the 3-point line while also attacking off the dribble and advancing the ball in transition off defensive rebounds. Faith Christian has an opportunity to take home a 2A State Championship this week and much of that will come down to Harris and her ability to put up big numbers on a big stage in Lakeland vs tough opponents.
Nyla McFadden Nyla McFadden 5'11" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2025 State FL (St. Thomas Aquinas) – 5’11 Wing
McFadden is one of many talented players on a loaded St. Thomas Aquinas roster. Her role has increased throughout the season and will continue to increase over the next two years, but she is an X factor heading into Lakeland in St Thomas chase of another 6A state championship. In a playoff environment where foul trouble, bench play, and depth can often play a pivotal role. McFadden can impact the game in a variety of ways, look for her to come off the bench and give STA a spark on the defensive end of the floor and keep your eye on her as a stock riser in the future!
