The 2027 class is one of the most talented classes in the state. While I already covered some of the top scorers in this class and top playmakers in the 11th Region, here are some of the other 2027 players that need to be on everyone’s radar.

When it comes to 2027 players, Kennedy Stamper Kennedy Stamper 5’5″ | PG George Rogers Clark | 2027 State KY is probably a name you’ve heard. One of the most talented players in this class (and not just at the state level), she’s been running the point for one of the best teams in the state since last season. Her high basketball IQ and ability to create for both herself and her teammates is special, as is her overall game. She’s a very smart player who will likely start rolling in big offers soon. Stamper is averaging 7.9 PPG and 3 RPG.

Haylee Noel Haylee Noel 5'10" | SG Cooper | 2027 State KY
Cooper has so much talent on their roster, including multiple D1 level players, so the fact that Noel can be considered in that group as an 8th grader should tell you how talented she truly is. In fact, she picked up a D1 offer herself last summer (University of Arkansas). She can truly do it all as a guard and her numbers have been so impressive. Noel is averaging 6.3 PPG and 2.4 RPG while shooting over 48% overall and 45.2% from 3. Hudl Highlights: https://www.hudl.com/profile/17076072/Haylee-Noel/highlights
Dye may be an 8th grader, but she certainly plays a huge role for the Briar Jumpers. She brings so much to the floor from scoring to defending to playmaking and beyond, she’s an excellent all-around player. Her ball handling skills are strong and she can score at all 3 levels. She can really be a difference maker on both sides of the ball, regardless of who she’s playing against. Dye is currently averaging 9.6 PPG and 5.5 RPG. Elaine Purvis
Elaine Purvis
Purvis really showed her potential last season, but she’s elevated her game to another level this season. She’s been stuffing the stat sheets and making huge plays all season long. She’s a very versatile player who has a knack for scoring in a variety of ways. Purvis is averaging 9 PPG and 2.3 RPG while helping her team to one of the top rankings in the 10th Region. She’s got a very bright future.

Benningfield has helped get the Cardinals to one of the top spots in the 5th Region standings. She’s got excellent length and athleticism to go with her skills. She does a great job crashing the boards and she’s a very versatile offensive player. She can impact the game inside or out and she has a great shot. Laura Everidge Laura Everidge 5'9" | SF Hazard | 2027 State KY
Everidge is a true 2 way player. She’s got active hands defensively and she reads the passing lanes well. Offensively, the lefty can knock down shots from outside or drive to the hoop. Hazard may be young, but those young players like Everidge have shown a ton of promise this season. She is the 2nd leading scorer at 7.1 PPG and the 3rd leading rebounder at 5.6 RPG. While Messer got some time for South Laurel last season, she is playing a much larger role this season. She’s shown her ability to score at all 3 levels and in a variety of ways. One of the most impressive parts of her game is her ability to elevate over defenders to knock down shots. She also crashes the boards well and can come up with blocks and steals defensively. Messer is averaging 7 PPG and 3.7 RPG.

Brynlee Walker Brynlee Walker 5'8" | PG Rowan County | 2027 State KY
Walker has some talented veterans alongside her which has only further proven how talented of a player she is. She can play any guard position effectively and she really does a little bit of everything for Rowan County. She continues to grow her game and while the Vikings have 2 outstanding seniors who are their leading scorers, Walker is next up. She’s averaging 5.6 PPG and 2 RPG.

Olivia Ginn
Olivia Ginn
Ginn is typically one of the shortest players on the floor, but she certainly doesn’t play like she is. Her toughness and heart stand out when you watch her play and she’s a tenacious defender. She handles pressure, sees the floor, and delivers great passes as a point guard. She can also score on her drives or knock down jump shots, but she does a great job of drawing help and then kicking to the open player. Ginn’s averaging 2.9 PPG and 2 RPG.

Adkins plays with some really good juniors in Shaelyn Steele Shaelyn Steele 5’5″ | PG Russell | 2024 State KY and Bella Quinn Bella Quinn 5’7″ | SG Russell | 2024 State KY . Seeing that they are also guards who both average double figures, it’s very impressive that Adkins has played in all 26 of the Red Devils games. She’s a very smart and tough player. She’s got good handles and is a really solid defender. She moves without the ball and she can knock down shots, but she’s always willing to make the extra pass. She impacts the game in ways that don’t always show up on the stat sheet. Adkins is averaging 2.1 PPG and 0.4 RPG.
