Girls basketball is on the rise and there are countless young players in the state of Washington who can play at a high level. This is list of some of those players that can shoot it from deep with the best of them. These are just a handful of players that could make the list. Brooklynn Haywood Brooklynn Haywood 5'9" | PG Union | 2026 State WA , for example, is the best shooter in the state. My opinion, but not written about in this one. There will be more.
They must know how to teach shooting at North Creek. Drew Jensen on the boys side and Mikah on the girls side. She is a phenomenal shooter who can make space off the dribble to get shots up. She did just that, making 82 threes at 40%. That makes for an excellent adjusted field goal percentage and the volume is even more impressive. She also plays the point guard position well, using her great court vision and always pushing the ball. She changes speeds well when getting to the hoop. Look for her to have an even bigger break-out season next year.
Megan is another guard who is excellent at getting her own shot. She has unlimited range and wasn’t shy about shooting it in her freshman year. She made 88 threes at 37% on the season. She is good in one on one situations and can get into her mid-range game consistently with good results. She had a game of nine threes made in this her freshman year. Big things to come in the next three years.
Carmen is a great prospect who has size, skill, and basketball IQ that you see right away. She has great floor vision, she gets into the lane with a purpose, and has range on her shot to keep the defense honest. She made 56 threes this season at 35%. She is a prospect to watch with her full package of skills.
She is a scorer, and averaged well over 20 points a game this season as another freshman. She made 72 threes at 34%. She has great range and is working on making it even further out, which would make her tough to stop as if she wasn’t already. She is very strong and can finish well using that to muscle her way into the paint.

Kayla has been one of the best shooters on the West side for the past two seasons and her numbers are almost identical from three. 67-180 (2023) and 68-183 (2022). That makes for 37 and 36%. She averaged 18 points this season and 16 last year. Possible rankings riser with those numbers.
She does shoot it well, making 56 threes (36%), but I was more impressed with her quickness and ball skills. She is lightning quick with her tight dribble. She is one of the best at getting her own shot. She creates space in any of a number of tough step back jumpers, or blowing by the defense with a hesitation move. She also changes speeds and sets up her defender. Another freshman, she is getting attention from some big time college programs already and I would bet it is because of her ball skills and quickness. The shooting is good and if she is able to make it great, good luck stopping her.
I do not have her season stats but I have watched her play in person. I saw a great shooter who could make shots from all over the floor. She also has good size and length that allows her to play bigger if she needs to. I would be willing to bet she is among the top three point threats stats wise.

The quick floor general with good ball handling skills can also shoot it at a high level from three. She is great at getting into the paint and to the basket. Her ability to make threes helps to open things up and she is good at taking advantage of that. She is a player that seems to be one who can run off a bunch of threes at any given moment when you watch her play.

I am adding the Central 2B guard to the list because of how well she shot it percentage wise. She made 50 at 43%, which is the 2nd highest of accuracy that I saw in researching this article. Leaves no doubt that she should be in the discussion as one of the better shooters in Southwest Washington, and no doubt in Class 2B.
