By Sunday evening, girls basketball will be over for the 2023 class in Kentucky. Hard to believe these years have flown by like they have. Let’s break down the top 10 players in the final rankings for this Senior class.
Haven is a super versatile scorer who ends her career with over 3,000 points and is on the short list of Miss Basketball favorites.
Byars is the winningest player on this list and is headed to the biggest college as she will play in the Big 12 next season. Brianna is capable of a double-double every game.
One of the best scorers to come through Kentucky in the last decade or so. Kensley has “in the gym” range on her jumper and has lifted Lawrence County to Rupp for the first time.
Abby is a pure shooter who has been a consistent three point sniper for years. She will team up with Byars next year at UC and could get on the court as a freshman thanks to her shooting abilities.
A versatile guard who can score or distribute at a high level, Jakayla’s best basketball is ahead of her. She can make an impact for Buffalo as a Freshman.

Destiny could end up the best college player of the entire class as she has shown she’s a true two way wing and one of the best athletes in the class.
Meadow does all the dirty work and isn’t afraid to mix it up with opposing players. Tisdale is a really good rebounder and low post scorer who can make an immediate impact in college.
Lind is, in my opinion, the most valuable player to her team on this list. take her off the Cooper roster and the Jags wouldn’t be headed back to Rupp this season. Whitney impacts winning in a lot of ways.
The lone unsigned Senior on this top ten list, Triniti is a crafty slasher on offense and a tenacious defender. She’s helped SHA to another state tournament as they look for a three peat.

Yeast missed her Senior season due to an ACL injury but still had enough respect to earn regional Player of the Year honors. She should be back to her old self when she gets to Buffalo next season.
