The junior point guard drove to the basket the whole game. The Greeneville team did not make any basket easy for the guard. Coleman showed her strength by continuously driving and finishing at the rim. Coleman knocked down a huge free throw to help take her team to victory and continue on in the state tournament.
Despite the loss, Shaw continued to impress with her play making ability. You can find this point guard everywhere on the court. Shaw’s defense stays impressive. The feisty point guard anticipates passes great! Shaw is a great passer that knows how to get her teammates involved.
Marlee Mathena
Marlee Mathena
Mathena continues to make it difficult for players to drive in the paint on her. This post player continues to impress with her shot blocking ability. If Mathena doesn’t get the block, she makes it extremely difficult for an offensive player to shoot over her. Mathena uses her size to position good underneath for rebounds. Mathena stepped up huge for her team to continue on in the state tournament. Keep your eyes on her!
Despite the loss, the young star continues to lead her team. Crawford does it all for her team. She makes the right passes, beats you off the dribble, and loves the old fashion 3 point play. Crawford’s high basketball IQ makes her extremely hard to guard! Crawford is definitely a D1 talent that is going to continue to impress. Crawford holds a D1 offer from Memphis and she will continue to get more D1 offers.
Highlights
Faye continued to impress with her play making ability. The freshman continued to dominate for her team to get the win and continue on in the state tourney. Williams explosiveness to the rim is extremely hard to guard. Williams uses her length to her advantage on the defensive end by blocking shots and helping her great defensive team pick up more steals.

Gerik helped take on the task of guarding star Imari Berry Imari Berry 5’10” | SG Clarksville | 2024 State TN from Clarksville. Gerik did a great job helping her team defensively. Gerik is a young, talented player that will only continue to improve! Gerik may not be the tallest player on the court, but she knows how to position herself and rebound really well! Gerik played a key part in helping her team upset Clarksville during the first round of the tournament.
