This list of shooters also happen to be some of the top bucket getters in the state. These players can flat out score and shooting is just one aspect of their game.
Shayla didn’t waste any time making a name for herself, breaking the school record for points in her first high school game. Her ability to get into the lane and score with craftiness is what sets her apart. She has a great crossover dribble and gets to the basket in a hurry, especially when it is right to left. She is an opportunistic ball hawk on defense with quick hands. She gets lots of steals and uses her speed to go end to end and finish. She broke her scoring record when she dropped 40 plus later in the season.
Her ability to get buckets was on full display in the state tournament this year when she scored 34 points in their opening-round win over Davis. She has great quickness and is excellent in the open floor. She was also the best on-ball defender for Bellarmine and was able to create a lot of points off of steals. She is a decent shooter from three but she is best at getting to the basket, which she can set up with her ball-handling skills. Her teammate Keiara Curtis Keiara Curtis 5’8″ | CG Bellarmine Prep | 2025 State WA can also score, dropping 30 points in the regional round of the tournament. She is more of a shooting guard whereas Stone can play either guard spot. She is 5’5″ not 5’11 as it says on the profile. My mistake.
Sofia is a great athlete and her speed sets her apart with the ability to get end to end in a hurry. She has a nice, soft shooting touch and is especially dangerous in the mid-range game. She is a very capable three-point shooting guard although she didn’t shoot them as much as I would have thought. She rebounds extremely well for her size, using that athleticism to get it and go. She averaged just over 15 points a game and helped lead her team to the Class 4A state title, scoring a game-high 24 points. She plays hard and will be one of the top players in the state next season.
I consider her to be the top shooter in the state, although it is nearly impossible to narrow this list down. What sets her apart is her ability to create her own with her elite ball skills. She has an excellent pull-up going either way.Her ability to get into that starts with her ball handling. She is a point guard, shooter, scorer, and bucket-getter. She has tremendous floor vision as well and will find her teammates when they are open. Her skill set is a rare combination that makes her tough to stop. She averaged around 28 points a game, set school records for points with 50, and threes in a game with 9. She will be setting more records before she is done.

Teryn led Mead to a 4th place finish at the state tournament this season. She was no question the go-to scoring threat for her team and had a lot of responsibilities as one of the primary ball-handling guards. On a team that started two freshmen, she was the unquestioned leader, making her presence felt in a lot of aspects of the game. She has excellent deep-range shooting ability that makes her tough to guard.
Her shot mechanics are not only great but it allows her to shoot it from way beyond the arc at a high percentage. She has some of the best deep ball range in the state. She can also score with tough drives to the hoop and in the mid-range. She has been about as consistent as you can get, scoring around 20 points a game this season. She is also a strong ball-handling guard who plays the point well. It is her Stephen Curry like range that sets her apart and makes her one of the most dangerous scoring guards as only a junior next year.

Riley came up big for Camas this season as a guard who can score from all levels. She has one of the quickest, most compact shots that you will find. That is something most of the players on the list have. Their shot doesn’t leave a lot of room for error. Great shot mechanics. She also showed that she can hit tough mid-range shots and was a clutch player for Camas all season long.
Grace can score from all levels, and her mid-range game is what sets her apart from the rest. She has that ability to score from anywhere, including the shot mechanics that make her a top three-point shooting guard. She is crafty and picks her spots in the half-court, She has great ball-handling skills and can play either guard spot. She was a high-percentage volume shooter, averaging over 23 points a game. She has already been a two-time 1st team all-state-tournament selection, with one title and a 2nd place finish. Not a bad freshman and sophomore year’s resume.

Katie is maybe the most heralded recruit in the state of Washington. She also won a state title this season. She won it the previous season as well and has been the leading scorer on both of those teams. She is a combination of athlete and skills that translate to the next level. She can do it all. She shoots it well and is best in the mid-range with a beautiful pull-up jumper. She changes speeds well and can get to the rim as well as any. She could score 30-plus points a game but she plays on a loaded Garfield team that has plenty of scoring options. That might be one thing that sets her apart from the rest. She has helped some great players become a great teams with her understanding of the game and basketball IQ.
The Class 1A state champion and tournament MVP is an elite level talent. Ranked number 1 in the Prep Hoops class of 2024 rankings, she is a four star prospect that has been dominant for the past couple years. She is a great facilitator and can get herself shots with her rare combination of ball-handling skills to go with her strength and athletic ability. She is a downhill player and tough to stop when she gets in the paint. She has great shot mechanics, is almost automatic at the free throw line, and can shoot it from three. She doesn’t take as many threes as some of the state leaders in that category or she would likely be among them. Tough player who plays best in big games.
