Continue ReadingAdelaide is such a patient PG. When she has the ball in her hands, you can see her analyzing the defense and picking her spots based on how they react. She has a strong ability to create off the dribble and does a great job finishing through contact. She also has no problem hitting the jumper when the defense gives her space.
Maddie has made it clear this weekend that her name must be mentioned when speaking of North Carolina’s premier defenders. Maddie locks right into her opponents hip, not allowing them any room to breathe. Her constant harassment forces turnovers which lead to easy baskets for her teammates. Her length at the position causes problems and she is not easy to get by. Maddie can truly control the pace of the game but she has a very quick first step that she uses to get by defenders when she needs to.

You have to love the overall skillset that Krystal brings to the court. She excels on the defensive end and she knows how to fit into any offensive set. She can play on or off the ball and can be seen directing traffic for her team. She can score when she needs to but also does a great job finding her teammates to help them get baskets. She knows where everyone is supposed to be and she is very involved in plays even when she doesn’t have the ball in her hands.
Darla did a great job Saturday showing off her shooting ability and overall talent. Defenses must always account for her when she is behind the three point line because she can really get hot. She does a great job with her off-ball movement which allows her teammates to be able to find her for open looks. Darla also showed off her speed when she had a play where she beat everyone down the floor in transition and attacked the basket hard. She also had a nice drive down the baseline where she finished through contact for an and-1 opportunity.

Standing 6’3, the first thing that jumps out at you when watching Taylor play is her ability to control the interior. Teams are just not willing to attack the paint when she is in the game. Offensively, opponents must send double teams her way as she is difficult to defend when she goes to work with her back to the basket. She does a great job drawing fouls and getting to the free throw line.
