The action was in full force for the 2-day event over the Easter Weekend. Each team played 4 games in 2 days and Prep Girls Hoops had you covered with the action. Let’s take a look at the 2026 Palmetto State Class in attendance with some positional breakdowns.
Who’s Running the Point Guard Position?
Rihanna Wallace Rihanna Wallace 5'4" | PG Dorman | 2026 State SC – Dorman HS – Upward Stars Upstate 2025
Wallace was constantly causing some havoc on both ends of the floor this weekend. She really looks to touch the paint and get the ball down in the lane whenever given the opportunity. Rihanna can read defenses and understands how to and where to attack on the floor or simply just pull it out and set up the offense.
Shot Maker from Deep?:
Kylie Fortner Kylie Fortner 5'5" | CG Landrum | 2026 State SC – Landrum HS – Upstate Rebels
Fortner and the Upstate Rebels finished (4-0) on the weekend. Kylie is a shot maker from behind the arc. She has a good deal of confidence with her shot. Fortner was efficient all weekend long with her shot making skills. Kylie connected on some mid-range jumpers while always on the move to make herself open on the floor.
Scarlett Watson Scarlett Watson 5'9" | SG Greenville | 2026 State SC – Greenville HS – SC Lady Sixers
Watson is certainly a new name for us here at Prep Girls Hoops. Scarlett got off to a fast start on the opening night for the Lady Sixers. She was able to connect on some open looks when given the opporunity.
Josie Hanks Josie Hanks 5'7" | CG Oceanside Collegiate Academy | 2026 State SC – Oceanside Collegiate (Mount Pleasant) – Charleston Raptors
Hanks is a shooter and finds herself most comfortable out on the wing. Josie looks to work the corners in attempt to get her shot off. She’s tends to be shot ready to receive the ball when in the pocket.
Who Brings the Toughness to the Floor?
Jensyn Turner Jensyn Turner 5'7" | PG Woodruff | 2026 State SC – Woodruff HS – Upward Stars Upstate 2025
Turner brings good toughness to the floor for your team. Jensyn is constantly around the ball to make a play at any time if it’s on the offensive or defensive end of the floor. She won’t overwhelm you with anyone thing she does in a game. Jensyn constantly brings effort and at the end of the night she is a stat sheet stuffer.
Slasher Deluxe?
Malaya Mazyck Malaya Mazyck 5'8" | CG Wando | 2026 State SC – Wando HS (Mount Pleasant) – S.H.O.T.S. United 16U
Malaya really excels in the transition game while on the floor. She gets most of her buckets going to the basket in transition and simple layups. Malaya has good length to be disruptive in the passing lanes and picks up several deflections along the way. Mazyck is at her best when she’s attacking or slashing to the rack.
Who’s Playing Down on the Block in the Post?
Devyn Blackwell Devyn Blackwell 5'10" | PF Southside Christian School | 2026 State SC – Southside Christian (Greenville) – SC Eagles White
Blackwell plays bigger than her size down low on the block. Devyn plays very well away from the ball and always remains active on the floor. She really looks to work for position while battling down low inside the paint. Devyn plays with a good motor and embraces being a post player in the paint.
Jaida Johnson Jaida Johnson 5'11" | C Byrnes | 2026 State SC – Byrnes HS – Upstate Rebels
Johnson saw good minutes this season for the Lady Rebels at Byrnes HS. Jaida is best suited right now as rim runner on the floor. She runs the floor well and fills the lane in transition. Johnson is still learning the game and is a RAW talent moving forward.
Dyarri Braddick Dyarri Braddick 6'3" | C St John's | 2026 State SC – St John’s HS (Johns Island) – Charleston Raptors
Braddick is going to be a good one in the years to come. She hasn’t scratched the surface of her potential down the road. Dyarri has legit size in the post and comes from some pretty good bloodlines. She was able to connect on some short left-handed jump hooks here today. Braddick really can contest and alter shots on the defensive end of the floor without much effort. She’s still learning how to play the game and will only get better down the road with more playing time and games.
