Continue ReadingOver the next few days, I’ll highlight a few kids in 2026, 2025, and 2024 classes to watch this weekend in Appleton. There will be kids who’ll end up playing at every level in college, and I’d like to highlight a few of them before they tip off on Friday night in the Fox Valley. I’ll finish today with the 15u teams.
Kamryn Lecce
The Kenosha St. Joe’s guard is solid in every facet of the game and can fit into any role on any team. She’s a versatile 5-9 wing who can guard one through four at her age level, playing good on-ball defense and keeping her focus away from the ball. She doesn’t ever look like there’s any moment that’s too big for her, and she handles difficult situations well.
Olivia Schneider Olivia Schneider 5'9" | PG Laurel School | 2026 OH
Schneider is as balanced of a lead guard as you’ll find in her class. In one contest, you could see her creating for others. In another, she could score 20 for her Let it Rain group. Her balance makes her potent as she is because she’s as far from being a one-dimensional offensive player as it gets. She understands how to put her teammates in positions to succeed, and I haven’t seen her or that group play this spring yet, but I definitely will this weekend.
Melia Lemorande Melia Lemorande 6'0" | SF Bay Port | 2026 State WI
Some kids immediately became the best in their conference when they got onto campus as freshmen this past year. Although, Lemorande didn’t have that opportunity available to her, what she did is just as impressive. Kids who come onto campus with a ton of talent and find a niche role are always intriguing kids to watch because it’s clear they want to win and help their team win, and that’s what Lemorande did last season. Lemorande grabbed plenty of rebounds while playing next to the top rebounder in the state. Super excited to see her this weekend.
Violet Otto
I loved what Otto brought during the live period USJN had in Milwaukee, and she did well against good competition. Her size and ability to space the floor open up the court for her more ball-dominant teammates, and she excels in that role. I believe she’ll fly under the radar for a few more years at Prescott and in AAU because she has uber-talented teammates, but Otto being on the floor helps get the most out of any team she’s on. Both her teams are competitive for many reasons, and Otto’s a significant reason.
