Murphy is a 5’11 combo guard who is a complete player. An individual who understands the game of basketball to a T while also being extreme gifted both physically and skill-wise. She is a three-level scoring threat with a great handle, vision and passing ability. She understands post play, mid-post play, and perimeter stuff at a high rate while always being a consistent contributor to whichever team she is on. As of most recent she has picked up an offer from D1 Evansville (Il), with plenty more to come in the future at this rate.
Peyton McCabe Peyton McCabe 5’4″ | PG Skutt Catholic | 2024 State NE is committed to play at the University of Drake once her high school basketball career comes to a close. A great pickup for Drake it seems as McCabe is currently killing it for her All Iowa Attack EYBL team. McCabe is a knock down three point shooter in all catch-and-shoot situations. Each time she shoots she has a balanced stance, a strong follow-thru, and exquisite footwork. She has several other abilities along with this though such as handling the ball as the point guard, creating off of the dribble, and rebounding better than most her size. This spring she is going to continue to kill it and show Drake that she can come in right away and produce.
Elsa Vedral Elsa Vedral 5’10” | SF Omaha Marian | 2025 State NE is an intriguing prospect that I think could be a real difference maker at a college program, some time in the future. Vedral has a great mixture of size and speed at her position while being a real threat on offense. She understands how to space the floor and catch her defender sleeping while she back-cuts to the hoop. She has the ability to shoot the three ball from deep off of the catch or dribble as well as being a strong driver whenever her defender over-plays her. When you account for all of these things and add along with it that she is very physical, you could see how she excels against her competition. This spring/summer she could really make some big strides in her game and pick up a lot of college interest going into the fall.

I have only have the chance to see Ayana Owens Ayana Owens 5’9″ | CG Lincoln | 2025 State NE at one tournament thus far this spring but when I did watch her play, she stood out over most on the floor. Owens is a lockdown defending guard with a high motor and a lot of heart. She plays with an aggressive demeanor near the basket and doesn’t settle on offense for the most part. She can handle better than most and holds her own in the rebounding department. When looking at her overall game there is some promise there and I think that mixed with her dedication could lead to some big things. You can tell that she wants it more than most on the court and that’s going to pay off for herself in the long run.
Serena Heeren Serena Heeren 6’0″ | PF Lincoln Northeast | 2024 State NE is a player that is going to hit her stride this summer. Heeren, a 5’11 small forward, is very good with her all around skill set. She has good length for her size with being coordinated and calculated in her movements. She has a plethora of skill moves on the offensive side of the ball while possessing a patented step-through move, usually ending with a finish by herself at the rim. Defensively she can switch between the 1-5 on the high school floor. She is quick enough to stay on a guard or can move to a post if asked to by her team. This summer is big for Heeren. She will have a chance in high school ball to show that she can be a major piece for her team this winter while also continuing her success on the AAU floor. She has a lot going on but I know she is up for the challenge.
