I was able to catch the action on Monday of the event as the athletes were closing out their weekends competing against some top talent across the region on the Memorial Day holiday. Let’s take a look at some of the ball handlers that I saw at the event.
Addison Sirianni Addison Sirianni 5’7″ | CG Lake Norman | 2025 State NC was on fire in the first half knocking down 4/4 from deep. She handles the ball well controlling the tempo for her team. She continues to show off her ability to make the long pass up the court finding open teammates cutting to the hoop on fast breaks. Her hands were constantly getting in the way grabbing steals and causing deflections.
Highlights
Asia Keels Asia Keels 5’3″ | PG Deep Creek | 2026 State VA was all over the court crashing boards for rebounds, making smart cuts, and handling the ball for her team. She is slick with her change of direction handles, and her quickness is definitely an asset on both ends of the court. She sees the floor well being able to make the long pass up the court to her cutting teammates on fast breaks. She knew how to get the best passes into her teammates whether they were posting up on the block or making a strong cut to the basket.
Tristan Shivers

Tristan Shivers had a some tough jab steps getting her opponents off balance to blow by them. She attacked the basket battling through contact, and she was making plays opening up the court for her teammates. Even going up against tough competition, she held her composure and controlled the tempo for her team as the floor general.
Jaida McClure Jaida McClure 5’9″ | PG Providence Day | 2026 State NC has a high IQ on both ends of the court. She can push the ball up the court with ease showing some nice finishes at the rim no matter what angle she comes in. She crashes boards on both ends, too, being ready to push the ball up the court with defensive rebounds. Her ability to make nice adjustments to get the perfect pass into her teammates is fun to watch. She sees the floor well making some nice full court passes to a cutting teammate.
Charlotte Tune Charlotte Tune 5’6″ | PG Charlotte Latin | 2026 State NC has a nice shot fake truly squaring up like she is going to shoot and making the smart pass to her teammate cutting in the paint. She can definitely knock down her shot from deep, though, not needing to make the pass. She knows how to attack the basket battling through contact to get some points. There’s a reason her team always wants the ball in her hands.
