There are a ton of college coaches on the road looking for their programs next game-changer while keeping an eye out for any talent that can help bring them success. Here are just some of the players that you can expect to see out there competing for their teams this weekend that maybe catching some college coaches attention.
Kelli Storck Kelli Storck 6’0″ | PF ADM | 2025 State IA has really been shining this spring for Pure Prep Academy. Storck, a 6’1 power forward out of the 2025 class, is currently playing up and contributing at a consistent rate against some elite competition. Storck’s game is nostalgic to watch. She keeps it simple and makes all the right moves when the ball gets in her hands, usually leading to a lot of success. When she catches in the post she can go over either shoulder to finish, as well as having a nice step through move when she gets her defender to jump. On the three point line she is always ready for a catch and shoot opportunity with her feet set and hands up. Something that jumped out to me when watching Storck play is that to start contests her defenders don’t respect her shooting ability and just give her a wide open three. This isn’t the best or recommended strategy as she can knock that down with ease. She will be playing up on Pure Prep Hale 17U team this weekend at May Madness, make sure to check them out.
Ellie Olson Ellie Olson 5’9″ | CG Dowling Catholic | 2025 State IA is a raising talent in the state of Iowa. Over these next few years I have a feeling that her hard work and dedication is going to prevail, showing that she is a high-volume producer on the basketball court. Olson, a 5’11 small forward, started every game last season for her Dowling Catholic high school team on their way to the state playoff. In that season she showed that she is a player who understands her role while also being able to create for herself when the time comes. It can sometimes be hard to stand out or make a difference when you have two other highly skilled players on your team in Ava Zediker Ava Zediker 5’10” | PG Dowling Catholic | 2025 State IA (2025) and Ellie Muller Ellie Muller 6’3″ | C Dowling Catholic | 2026 State IA (2026), especially in high school ball when things are played at a much slower pace but Olson did a great job last year making sure that she was known. I expect this weekend that she keeps up some of this production with her Waukee Jam AAU team, showing that she is a special talent on the floor.
Next month there is a scheduled rankings update for the classes of 2024-2026 in the state of Iowa and Ava Zediker Ava Zediker 5’10” | PG Dowling Catholic | 2025 State IA is going to be moving up on that list. Zediker, a fast twitch point guard, is playing out of her mind right now. Her game is speaking volumes to all the work that she has put in over the years. When I first had the opportunity to see Zediker play a few years back you could tell she was special. I think one of my first articles for Prep Girls Hoops featured her and her ability at the point guard position. Well, all that is coming to fruition and then some at the moment. Zediker is a division 1 point guard, there is no doubt about it. Her and her All Iowa Attack EYBL team will be hosting the tournament this weekend for May Madness. If you want to catch the next big point guard out of Iowa, look to further than Zediker.
Another player making big stride this spring/summer who always has shown some impressive talent is Greta Dillinger Greta Dillinger 5’10” | SG North Polk | 2025 State IA . Dillinger is a dangerous shooting guard who knows how to score the ball. She understands spacing, where to spot up where she can get a shot off, and how to move off of screens with the intent to shoot. There are so many shooters out there who don’t come off of screens with intent, Dillinger is not one of them. Other than that she does a handful of other positive things on the floor for her teams. She is solid on defense, can rebound, and isn’t afraid to share the ball or get to the rack for an AND1, if the opportunity presents itself. With the mix of skill and coordination she has, I expect this stuff to all stay as a constant while she expands her game and tries to take it to new heights.
Highlights
Livy Adams
Livy Adams
Livy Adams is going to be a player to know in this falls upcoming 2027 class. Adams is a smaller guard but efficient. A guard who has a lot of promise and skill when you watch her play at this young age only makes you wonder what she can turn into in the near future. I would say already that her ceiling is pretty high. She seems to have always played up an age grade or so and this year is no different. She is currently competing on the 2026 CY Select team as an 8th grader and she is holding her own. She has a uniformed shot form while being pretty good at handling the ball on offense. She can shoot from distant and make it a majority of the time if given a moment to get set. Over the next few seasons I expect her game to expand and we see all that promise come to life. Something that is more than possible when you look at her past experiences and what she is willing to do to make her future on the court a success. I’m excited to see it all unfold.
