On this day, May 17 of 1956 Sugar Ray Leonard was born! While I mostly remember him from a couple of fights and a lot of old videos from before my time, Sugar Ray was always one of my favorite boxers. He fought with a flare, accepted any challenge, and prodded and poked knowing exactly when to get after his opponent. Sugar Ray boxed with precision. Reminds me of some high school basketball players I know. So let's combine 2 of my favorites: Sugar Ray Leonard and talented high school basketball players.
