These players will all be officially added to the Rankings Update this fall in their perspective classes, right before the high school season kicks off. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Avery Moon
Avery Moon
Avery Moon is a player that is going to make her mark this July with her All Iowa Attack EYBL team. Moon is a 5’9 guard who plays bigger than her size. She does have a good mix of a guard skill set and a forward skill set but in the end I would put her more as a 3 than anything else. I think this season Moon may have a chance to see the floor at the varsity level for her Valley team but we will see. They return a good amount of players and also have a high ranking transfer or two that will be on the roster, so only time will tell. As long as she continues to work hard, it’s going to pay off in the near future.

Mylee Stiefel Mylee Stiefel 5’7″ | PG Burlington | 2026 State IA will be added to our rankings update this fall, right before the season tips off. Stiefel is an interesting prospect who can play the point guard position or the shooting guard position. When I have seen her play live this spring, she was best when bringing the ball up but with the team she is on, there are times where she is going to have to play the off-guard position. This is going to be a big season for Stiefel at the high school level. She has every ability to put together a great sophomore year and show that over the next few years, she is a player to know out of the state of Iowa.
Ryleigh Ewalt Ryleigh Ewalt 5'2" | PG Riverside School | 2025 IA
Ryleigh Ewalt Ryleigh Ewalt 5'2" | PG Riverside School | 2025 IA
Ryleigh Ewalt Ryleigh Ewalt 5’2″ | PG Riverside School | 2025 IA is a point guard who should have been added to the 2025 rankings earlier this month and that’s on me. Ewalt is a 5’7 guard who has an electric play-style. She works hard on both sides of the floor while trying to always find an open teammate. In the games that I saw her compete in this spring, Ewalt was lighting it up from deep and getting her team fired up. Something that was really fun to watch. Moving forward look out for Fremont Mills to have some big games this winter, with Ewalt leading the charge from the front.
Madilyn Meyer
Madilyn Meyer
Madilyn Meyer is an individual who shows glimpses of really having some game when it comes to the sport of basketball. Meyer is a player that comes into the game and is willing to do anything to help her team. She has a guard skill set with a nice motor to pair along with it. Not to mention she has some sneaky length when it comes to her size, with a great head on her shoulders. Over this next few months and into the high school season it wouldn’t surprise me if Meyer takes some leaps, becoming a big contributor for Liberty high school this winter. In a program like theirs, if she can be used in the correct way, she is going to produce some results. She just needs to keep her head down and working hard in the meantime. Something I’m sure she is already doing, day-in and day-out.
Maddy Rice Maddy Rice 5’9″ | SG Dowling Catholic | 2026 State IA is a player that didn’t play on varsity last season but I expect that to change this upcoming winter at Dowling Catholic. Rice is a 5’8 guard who is fluid with the ball. She moves well with it in her hands but can also produce when she is working off of the ball just as well. She understands that to get open herself she needs to screen away and work in the open space around her, so that she can find the area she wants to get too. I’m not sure that Rice is going to see a whole lot of the varsity floor this high school season but with her mix of skill and size, it’s not crazy to think that she could get some minutes here and there. Definitely someone out of the 2026 class to know the name of moving forward.
