In the article below I will be covering some of these players and their options moving forward. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Sophia Hope Sophia Hope 6’0″ | PF Waukee | 2024 State IA committed yesterday to play for the Truman State Bulldogs, after her high school career comes to an end. Hope is a versatile, 5’11 forward, who moves really well on the floor. She is the type of player that can spread the court and attack from the three point line, or take the small opponents she might match up against, into the post for an easy finish. No matter which way you put it, Hope is constant producer on the court and she will bring that same energy to Truman State. The Bulldogs got a player here that is going to have a major season at Waukee High school this winter. As long as she sticks to her game and stays confident in her work, she is going to thrive moving forward.
Maddie Maynes has recently received an offer from Grandview University to play at the next level but is that where she will end up? I’m not sure of a definitive answer to that question but I think as this summer comes to an end, there is going to be some other schools interested in Maynes game. Maynes is a combo guard, with extremely deep range, and a nice bag of skill moves on the offensive side of the floor. Not to mention, that she is a lock down defender on the ball and possesses superior athleticism compared to most her age. There is going to be a college out there that can use Maynes skillset and production on the floor at the end of the day, just not sure of which college as of yet.
Amani Jenkins Amani Jenkins 6’2″ | C Johnston | 2025 State IA is a big name throughout the state of Iowa, when it comes to girls high school basketball. As of recent, Jenkins has picked up some more offers from some pretty big named programs out there. Programs such as Howard University, Wichita State University, and Murray State just to name a few. This list is going to grow throughout the next year or so for Jenkins and she will have a plethora of choices to pick from at the end of the day. She works hard and displays glimpses of college levels talent on the high school floor, on a consistent basis. Her future is bright and it’s only going to get brighter.
Highlights
Ella Moser Ella Moser 5’8″ | SG Cedar Rapids Kennedy | 2025 State IA , a 5’9 point guard out of Cedar Rapids, has been a player to know for a few years now. In a Kennedy Cougars program that has had some greats in past few seasons, it’s been hard for the young grade levels to step up at a high level, but that all changes this winter. Once this season tips off you are going to hear the name Ella Moser Ella Moser 5’8″ | SG Cedar Rapids Kennedy | 2025 State IA , a good amount, when it comes to guards who can play at the next level, out of the Cedar Rapids area. Most recently Moser was offered by Saint Xavier University, an NAIA program out of the Chicagoland area. As for now, she is going to play out the rest of her 16U season with her Team Iowa AAU program this July and reassess her options moving forward from there. This has been a great spring/summer season for Moser, now she just needs to build on it.
Jayla Williams Jayla Williams 5’10” | CG Ankeny | 2026 State IA is one of the top rated players in the 2026 class in the state of Iowa, as well as the country. Williams is a next level talent, who is going to shine in college. Going into high school and every year growing up, Jenica Lewis Jenica Lewis 5’10” | PG Johnston | 2026 State IA has been the player really hyped up to be amazing at the next level out of Iowa, in that class. As I do 100% agree to all that, Williams is going to have a chance to be just as special. She has size, skill, and is extremely athletic. As of most recent, Williams has received an official offer from Iowa State to play at the next level. This offer will be added to the pile of other offers that Williams currently has stacking up. Whoever gets her is going to get a play-maker, a producer, and most importantly: a smart hooper who wants to be successful.
Elise Jaeger Elise Jaeger 6’1″ | PF Valley | 2024 State IA committed about 15 minutes ago to play her college ball at the University Of Northern Iowa, via her social media. A big “get” for the Panthers program as Jaeger is the #3 ranked player throughout the state of Iowa, in the 2024 class. Jaeger is a 6’1 forward, who has been college bound for a few years now. She is always the biggest contributor to her teams success, while displaying next level size and athleticism. I love this move looking at the Panthers program moving forward. With the roster that they will possess, Jaeger will have a chance to come in and show what she can do right away, something I’m sure she is more than looking forward to. Hard works pays off, and that’s what this is. A lot of hard work paying off.
