One of the most recent commits out of the state of Iowa is Maddy Maynes. Maynes has recently committed to the NAIA – Grandview, located out in Des Moines, as recent as yesterday Via her social media. Maynes is a an efficient and hardworking guard. She has a college motor in the aspect that she seems to never stop moving and understands that beating her opponent with her endurance is an easy way to succeed on the court. She possesses a fundamental and balanced jump shot with the ability to put the ball on the floor with either hand and get into the heart of the defense. I think Maynes is going to flourish in this setting. She just needs to stay confident, be herself, and let it fly when she gets good looks.

Maddie Maynes has recently received an offer from Grandview University to play at the next level but is that where she will end up? I’m not sure of a definitive answer to that question but I think as this summer comes to an end, there is going to be some other schools interested in Maynes game. Maynes is a combo guard, with extremely deep range, and a nice bag of skill moves on the offensive side of the floor. Not to mention, that she is a lock down defender on the ball and possesses superior athleticism compared to most her age. There is going to be a college out there that can use Maynes skillset and production on the floor at the end of the day, just not sure of which college as of yet.
