Due nearly entirely by a large percentage of debuters in the updated 2025 class update, there was only a few players who advance. Just five prospects moved up as the majority of ranked players slid a few spots. Take a look in rank order.

[player_tooltip player_id='349462' first='Zarianna' last='Walker'], 5'10", SF/CG, Wichita Heights - Sometimes all you need is a peek at something you have not seen before to know a player has reached another level. With Walker that moment was watching her box out center, and Greater Wichita Area League rival, Jaliyah Manuel late in a game a couple months ago. Against this fast, strong, athletic, and extremely physical big Walker found her on a shot; sat down; spread her arms out; and used great leverage. Not only did Manuel not get to the ball but the ball bounced a time or two before going out of bounds. Sign me up! Walker leads advancers, rising 11 spots to #17

[player_tooltip player_id='349450' first='Valerie' last='Norwood'], 5'8", CG, Wellington - Against some of the stronger teams I saw her club team, Kansas United, face in the first couple months of the summer season Norwood was always one of the top performers for her team. Physical on both ends of the floor, fast with the ball, and a strong finisher through contact it was a no-brainer for Norwood to break into the top 10. She rises 6 spots to #9

[player_tooltip player_id='335955' first='Brynnae' last='Johnson'], 5'7", PG, Lawrence - As one would say in the poker world, Johnson is on a heater. Her quickness with the ball and overall athleticism as a scorer ramp her up 5 spots to #8. Another no-brainer, top 10 break through.

[player_tooltip player_id='616756' first='Sienna' last='DeFrain'], 5'9", SF, Haven - Despite a chronic condition that could cause her to miss some action during the 2024 season DeFrain will have a major role in the Wildcats' push to reach the state tournament for the first time in several years. She climbs 5 spots to #80. She will have a serious impact when she returns. A lefty who is can go either way and finish DeFrain is a walking three-point play. She can shoot the three and use her strength and agility around the hole to score.

[player_tooltip player_id='456530' first='Amaree' last='Henderson'], 5'10", SG/SF Newton - Henderson has quietly put in a bunch of work in over the summer playing with her [program_tooltip program_id='716194' first='[program_tooltip program_id='714510' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713097' first='Dynasty' last='']' last='']' last=''] club team. Among the most overlooked players in the AVCTL Div I last season, Henderson can flat out play. Long, athletic, fluid, and creative all Henderson does is go about her business. Score, rebound, defend, pass. All basketball player. Henderson up 2 spots to #66
