Orlando was filled with talent in the back half of July, we take a look at some of the top performers in the class of 2028 and 2029.
Zoey Brown Zoey Brown 5'5" | PG FL (Central Florida Elite 2028) 5’1 Guard – Class of 2028
Brown is a strong, stocky guard who played extremely consistent all throughout the event by putting up steady numbers on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. She used her strong build to attack off the bounce and get to the free throw line. She is an aggressive defender who played aggressive and physical.
Ja’niya Corbin (Central Florida Elite 2028) 5’1 Guard – Class of 2028
Corbin and Brown served as a 1-2 punch for Central Florida Elite, attacking off the bounce, defending aggressively and pushing the tempo. Corbin was impressive off the bounce, getting to the rim in transition and drawing the defense and kicking out to her teammates for easy shots on penetrate and kick situations.
Jocelyn Hoffman (Duval Elite 2028) 5’7 Guard – Class of 2028
Hoffman is one of several young, talented perimeter players on Duval Elite. She is a solid, steady point guard with good handles and does a good job vs pressure. Hoffman changes speed and direction when attacking off the dribble and does a good job playing under control. She is shifty, showcasing an ability to be a creative finisher at the rim finishing with both the right and left hands. She is very good in 1v1 situations and has multiple combo moves.
Wiley Crenshaw (Duval Elite 2028) 5’8 Guard – Class of 2028
Crenshaw played both the guard and wing spots. For just a middle schooler, she has a strong, solid build and is hybrid type player with a versatile skill set. At 5’8, she rebounds the ball well from the perimeter and has the ability to finish at the rim over the top of defenders.
Kallie Marsh Kallie Marsh 5'11" | PF FL (Central Florida Elite) 5’10 Forward – Class of 2028
Marsh has great size for her age and was very effective in the paint. She is an active front court player who played tough and aggressive. She scored the ball on offensive putbacks, driving from the high post and stepped out to 15 feet and showed off her perimeter shooting.
Michelle McKenzie (Central Florida Elite 2028) 5’11 Forward – Class of 2028
McKenize is a long, athletic post who was one of the top young prospects I saw in Orlando. She was very active flashing to open spaces on offense and wanted to face up on all catches. She mixed it up moving from low post to mid post to high post and can put the ball to the floor and drive right or left. She was one of the top rebounders and shot blockers in the younger divisions.
Kendall Proffitt Kendall Proffitt 5'10" | SG FL (Duval Elite 2028) 5’10 Wing – Class of 2028
On a squad loaded with talent, Proffitt might be the most talented and highest rated prospect on the Duval Elite 2028 squad. She is super long and stands out for her height and versatile skill set. She has a scorer’s mentality and has a mature body that really stood out on the court when she played against players of her same age division. She filled up the stat sheet by knocking down open shots from the perimeter, going to the offensive glass, and attacking off the dribble.
Sloan Zebott (Central Florida Elite 2027) 5’3 Guard – Class of 2028
Zebott is a steady young combo guard who played up one division. She played aggressive on the defensive end and was an impactful penetrator. She is quick and athletic and covers a lot of ground all over the court flying sideline to sideline and baseline to baseline.
Naomi Gill (Duval Elite 2028) 5’5 Guard – Class of 2029
Gill is an aggressive, active, bouncy guard who has major potential. Her Duval Elite squad is loaded with talented and playing up an age bracket, Gill is one of the squads top prospects. She got to the rim frequently, attacking off the bounce in the half court and in the full court. She has good 1v1 moves and is explosive off the bounce. She is a persistent penetrator who is a young prospect that we will be following her development.
