The Next Play 360 gym was loud, and everyone was cheering when the 3 balls scorched the net. We had half court buzzer beaters and 3 balls raining down. These young ladies really showed how shooters shoot.
Kenley Johnson
Kenley Johnson
Kenley Johnson was by far one of the best shooters in the gym. She shot the ball well on the day going 6-6 in her second game of the day. A player that knows how to find her spots on the court and has a quick release. She doesn’t need much room to knock down her shot and if you run her off the line, she has a nice mid-range game as well. Look for her to be one the best shooters this upcoming season.

Kenzie Johnson, just like her sister (Kenley) is a sharpshooter that has range as soon as she steps on the floor. A player that is constantly moving without the ball which allows her to get her shot off. Her ability to read the defense and score at will is her biggest attribute. A play with a pure shooting stroke and can get hot at any given time. She shot the ball really well and look for her to be in a lot of face guards this season.
Rogers is a do it all player but what stood out most was her ability to consistently shoot the 3 ball. She was cash money from behind the arc and if you push her off the 3-point line she showed her ability to knock down the smooth mid-range jump shot. Her ability to score at all 3 levels makes it tough to predict what she can do on the court. She plays beyond her freshman status.
Dennis is a showstopper and one of the best shooters in the state. Her ability to score from anywhere on the court is a key. One of the things that stood out is her ability to shot off the dribble. She was knock down shot after shot from behind the arc to the mid-range pull up. Her ball handling skills allows her to put the defense on their heels and allows her to elevate and score at will.
Highlights
Thompson knows how to find her spots on the court and her ability to get out in transition allows her to get her shot off quickly. She made just about every 3 ball she shot. A player that is always in scoring mode and ready to catch and shoot. She would definitely have her coaches greenlight to shot as soon as it hits her hands.
