Bianca Robinson does such a nice job flashing in the paint making herself a big target. Her ability to know exactly where she is on the court when she catches the pass always throws off her defender because she makes a quick move to turn and face the basket. She scores off a variety of post moves, and she doesn’t back down from contact underneath the basket.
Liz Wyrick is another athlete who likes to flash in and out of the paint shifting the defense. She does a nice job getting the pass at the free throw line and evaluating what to do next whether she takes it to the hoop herself or drops it down low to her teammates. She seals off her opponents using her wide stance on the block, and she has a nice up and under move to score her points against her defender. She crashes the boards on both ends grabbing rebounds.
Jaza Wilson spent the summer showing just how tough she is on both ends of the court. She’s a three level scorer attacking the basket and protecting the ball as she drives to the hoop. Her ability to knock down her shots from deep shows how versatile she is. She’s aggressive on defense, too, being able to guard post players making them work for their space as well as staying with guards trying to make a move around the perimeter.
Icyss Storm will continue to be a promising prospect, and we are excited to have two more high school years watching her succeed. She reads the floor well knowing how to attack the open lanes with her hands in the air ready to catch the ball and score some points. She makes nice adjustments at the rim, especially after she creates her own space on the court sealing off her opponents and showing off her post moves. She runs the floor well always being present to stop a fast break or score on her own.
