However, there’s some young athletes that we all know will play in college. It’s up to the athlete to put in the work and I have no doubt that the young stars that are mentioned below will do what it takes to get better every day! We can call them prospects or we can call them young stars!
The freshman guard holds offers from Johnson University, Carson Newman, Lipscomb University, and Wofford College. When you hold D1 offers before you begin your freshman season, people know you can play! Keep in mind that this is a young guard that plays well beyond her age! Checks all the boxes. Finishes at the rim with both hands, shoots the 3 ball with range, attacks going downhill, controls the pace of a game, great defender, makes the correct reads, and simply makes every person she plays with better! A natural leader that is only going to continue to get better.

I’ve stated numerous times how Roberts mid range game is one of the best! Many young players do not understand the importance of having a mid range game in college. Abby has already developed one of the best! When Roberts gets to her spot and pulls up, it is money. Count it! An elite ball handler. Turnovers are at an all time low with Abby! She controls the tempo of the game and pushes the pace whenever needed. I have no doubt that college coaches will soon be all over this one.

Imagine this; writing an article on notable freshman at the Elite 80, and you leave out one of the TOP players! Yes, I did that. Wood is by far one of the best freshman! Not only is Peyton one of the best 2027’s. She is one of the best players, period! One of the most versatile players. Can guard every position & she’s willing to play any position! Peyton has one the smoothest shots too. She’s 5’10 but when she jumps, she’s well over 6 foot. Put your best defender on Peyton and I’ll bet my money that Peyton is going to score on her! The stock is rising for this one and she made a true name for herself!

Addie Lawson
Addie Lawson
When I first watched Lawson play at the Elite 80, I knew she was a true baller! An 8th grader that stands out among her peers and understands the game. An extremely high IQ athlete that is going to be deadly when she arrives in high school. Lawson will only get better and that makes it scary enough for all opponents! Every one talks about Rogersville City! Keep your eyes on this one! I watched Addie run the point and I also noticed she can knock down shots too! Does a lot of good things on the court. Good ball handler & definitely a good attacker! Gets downhill and finishes at the rim with ease! The future for this one is going to be fun for every one to watch. Grab your popcorn because she is forreal!
Lauren Clark
Lauren Clark
I watched Lauren at the Legacy Showcase and she is definitely one of the most athletic players that you will find! Clark has great size for the point guard position that allows her to pass extremely well out of the double team. An elite defender that seems to always have her hands on the ball. The amount of deflections that Clark has in a game might never show on a stat sheet but it’s something college coaches love to see! The potential for this guard is extremely high. Will she be a power 5 D1 player? Only time will tell that but if Clark continues to put in the work, I have no doubt that we will see her on the big screen!
