Yesterday we released the updated rankings for the Class of 2026. We expanded the watch list from 50 prospects to 75 prospects, so if you include the Top-50 as well, there are now 125 members of the Class of 2026 listed on Prep Girls Hoops Indiana. Below, I wanted to highlight all of the point guards in the class who we currently have listed, as well as highlight those new to the list, and point out a handful of ladies who stood out throughout the Summer and early Fall.

NEWCOMERS:
Elle Jo Johnson
Elle
Jo Johnson
5'4" | PG
North Posey | 2026
IN
, 2026, 5-4 PG, North Posey H.S.
– Elle is one of those “wait-and-see” prospects, because she is still growing and gaining strength. She does have really nice length at her height, she’s quick and feisty, and she can shoot it a little outside. She played as a Varsity Freshman and could contribute a lot more in 2023-2024.
Jordynn Johnson

Elkhart | 2026
IN
, 2026, 5-2 PG, Elkhart H.S.
– Jordynn was extremely fun to watch all Summer. She is very strong at her size, North/South fast, but also quick and shifty. She plays with a great motor, can get into the lane and put pressure on a defense, plus she herself can pick up 84-feet and cause a lot of havoc.
Avari Kelley

5'5" | PG
Sullivan | 2026
IN
, 2026, 5-5 PG, Sullivan H.S.
– Avari is a very intriguing young guard who could be more of the focal point around the perimeter this season. She is extremely long, wiry, fast, and fluid. She is also a cross country runner. She can handle it and distribute, plus she is becoming a dangerous 3-point shooter.
Carley Moellering
Carley
Moellering
5'9" | PG
Homestead | 2026
State
IN
, 2026, 5-7 PG, Homestead H.S.
– Carley beat the buzzer, as I saw her for the first time this past weekend. She is long, wiry-strong, and skilled with the ball. She has some touch, but her game is much better off the dribble with her creating for others. As she gets stronger and absorbs contact better, watch out!
Hunter Mote
Hunter
Mote
5'6" | PG
Shawe Memorial | 2026
State
IN
, 2026, 5-6 PG, Shawe Memorial H.S.
– Hunter came out of nowhere this Summer and put together a strong grassroots season. She has length, speed & quickness, and she is a facilitator. She can get gaps and find teammates, but she also finishes well inside. She will get after it defensively, also, and she can make shots.
Addison Penziol
Addison
Penziol
5'4" | PG
La Lumiere | 2026
IN
, 2026, 5-4 PG, La Lumiere Preparatory
– Addison is originally a LaPorte kid, so nearby La Lumiere is only minutes away. She is fairly strong for her age/size, and she’s skilled and disciplined with the ball. She is more of a game manager right now, but she can handle it and she can knock down jumpers when left alone.

SUMMER/FALL STOCK-RISERS:
Maya Layton
Maya
Layton
5'8" | PG
Faith Christian | 2026
State
IN
, 2026, 5-8 PG, Faith Christian H.S.
– While Maya might not have moved up significantly in the rankings, she did showcase a great deal of improvement from the Summer of 2022. She takes care of the ball better now, she is shooting it more consistently (and with deeper range), plus as she has gotten stronger, she has shown the ability to take contact much better. She already holds several Division-I offers.
Carly Davison
Carly
Davison
5'5" | PG
Clinton Central | 2026
IN
, 2026, 5-5 PG, Clinton Central H.S.
– Carly is a tough-nosed, strong, physical point guard prospect who started as a Freshman. She had her roller-coaster moments, but she was huge for the Lady Bulldogs, as she gave them some stability at the point. Even after averaging 11.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game, I would expect for her numbers to go up (and turnovers to go down) in year-2.
Paiton Mitchell
Paiton
Mitchell
5'6" | PG
Castle | 2026
State
IN
, 2026, 5-6 PG, Castle H.S.
– Paiton has a fairly strong frame, she plays with a really nice motor, and she’s a tough-nosed kid. She is crafty with the ball, finds open teammates, plus she can knock down shots. She’s also a willing defender who will rebound her position. Paiton saw quality minutes as a Freshman for a traditionally strong Class 4A program, and she could be the primary ball-handler this year.
Alexis Neely
Alexis
Neely
5'7" | PG
Warsaw | 2026
IN
, 2026, 5-7 PG, Warsaw Community H.S.
– Alexis really showed up during the grassroots season, and she’s trying to earn more minutes in a talented Lady Tiger backcourt. She has an athletic frame, North/South speed, and she can get out and go in transition. She has touch outside, but her ability to get inside of a defense stands out, as does her ability to defend the ball all over the floor. Additionally, her energy is contagious.
