Risdon is a great example of a player developing her game throughout her high school career and turning herself into an elite talent. The Vermont commit has the length and the vertical ability to be a force down low. But Risdon’s game is WAY more than that. She has a smooth looking stroke from beyond the arc and can shoot over top of a defender.

Piper Risdon Piper Risdon 5'11" | PF Lowell | 2024 State MI showed Monday exactly why she is a D1 college basketball player in a tough matchup with Muskegon. Piper had 12 points in the first half. She blocked a shot at the buzzer, split the defense for a layup, and hit a top of the key 3, Piper finished with a right handed scoop layup at the rim cutting right through the defense. Piper had a huge game on both ends for Lowell to help the team earn a victory.

Risdon can light up the nets. She connected on 36 3’s at a 48% mark last season. You know you have a great all-around player when you are mentioned in an article as a top post player one month and a top shooter the next. The University of Vermont commit can play inside and out and is expected to have a big senior season for Lowell this year.

Risdon is a very underrated forward that deserves to be mentioned with the best in her class at her position. She is committed to the University of Vermont. The Catamounts got an absolute steal with Risdon. She’s a very versatile forward that can attack offensively in a variety of ways. Risdon can work facing the rim off the perimeter, can hit a jumper with deep range as well as put her back to the basket on the block and score with touch.

In my opinion, this shows the terrific development and overall game that Risdon possesses. She’s always been able to control the lane, but has developed into a versatile floor stretching forward. She shot 48% from 3 point range.

I’m not working with numbers on this one, because the eye test says enough. Risdon’s game is legit. She’s really refined and expanded her game over the last year or so. She can score with her back to the basket as well as facing the rim and will be a terror all season.

After watching her on Saturday, I’m comfortable saying that Risdon has upped her game another level. She showed a really slick spin move over her left shoulder with her back to the basket. Risdon was able to get athletic with the ball in her hands. An example of this was a baseline take to the rim with a pretty finish. Risdon even showed 3 point range on her jumper.
