Harrison plays with that old-school PG mentality that so many coaches love. As Maryville tries to climb the mountain back to its previous stature as a state powerhouse, Harrison is the type of leader that can help turn a program around. She’s a ultra-quick PG that can get into the paint at will. She always seems to make the right read once she gets there. I believe she leaves points on the table at times by not getting to a floater or quick pullup once she beats the initial defender. She is excellent at changing speeds, and plays with poise and IQ necessary to lead a team as a PG. She’s also an impactful defender that uses her athleticism to be a disruptive on the ball defender. I really like this prospect!
McNealy is a 6’1 sophomore guard that is loaded with potential and high-level athleticism. She was second on her Farragut team last year in scoring as a freshman. She’s already a high level shooter from the perimeter, and is developing in her ability to attack the rim and use her length to finish over defenders. She’s also an underrated passer as her size gives her angles of vision most players just don’t possess. Defensively, her athleticism and length give her the chance to be a game changer. Look for her to have a breakout season.
A speedy 5’4 PG, Routh is a tone-setter for CPA. She’s the PG, the leader, and exudes confidence in how she plays. She has a swagger to her that leaves no doubt who the floor general is. She’s a vocal leader that stays poised, and even thought she can play extremely fast, she’s knows when to pull back on the reigns and get teh team into its offense. She’s lighting fast making her tough in transition, and gets into the paint almost at will. While she’s an adequate scorer at this point in her career, her strengths are in her ability to control the game on offense, and ability to disrupt the game defensively. She has a non-stop motor and puts her athleticism to good use as a phenomenal defender. Reminds me of Hardin Valley Kyndra West Kyndra West 5’6″ | PG Hardin Valley Academy | 2025 State TN in her approach to the game. I believe she’s an eventual D2 prospect.
Wright is one of the best shooters in the class. If her feet are set, she’s on balance, and she’s open–it’s going in. Great instincts moving without the basketball into space. Vs zones Wright has a knack for finding the soft spots in gaps in order to get her shot off–and she doesn’t need much time as she has a lightning quick release. Look for her to put up some of the more impressive three point stats in the area.
Jamison is another PG that has a great feel for the game, and exudes confidence as a leader. The lefty seems to do all the little things right, and impacts winning in multiple ways. She’s a high IQ player that is unselfish with the basketball, great in transition, knows how to enter it into the post, plays well off ball screens, and always seems one step ahead of the defense in her decision making. She’s truly an extension of her coach on the floor. While scoring isn’t where she excels, she can knock down open shots when given they find her. Jamison is poised for a breakout year for the Lady Tigers.
