It brings me so much joy to see these athletes find a home for the next step of their careers after countless hours perfecting their craft on the court. Let’s take a look at some more of those athletes who have announced their next step after high school.
Khloe Miller has great height that she knows how to use on the basketball court, and she is smooth with and without the ball getting to the open spots. She can get inside attacking the basket from the top of the key knowing how to keep the ball high and away from her defenders. She can step outside the arc knocking down her shot from deep as well, and she is sure to get inside for rebounds knowing how to push defensive boards right up the other end on her own.
Olivia Tucker has been a fun athlete to watch in her high school career so far, and last year she took it to a whole new level. She was consistently stepping up for her team knocking down shots, getting to the rim, stripping the ball to grab steals, whatever her team needed, especially in big moments. Her fluid motions with her ball handling makes it difficult for opponents to stop her, and she sees the floor well knowing how to shift the defense making them open up some space.
Emerson Thompson has been a leader for her school and travel teams for her entire high school career. She has always seen the floor well knowing how to make the best pass into her teammates from anywhere on the court, especially pushing the tempo making the long pass on a fast break. She’s a knock down shooter whether she is pulling up off the dribble or a pass. She stays vocal on the court, too, constantly communicating with her teammates.
Jamyia Lindsey is a player who was catching the eyes of college coaches early on in her high school career as she is such a shifty ball handler. You can tell the ball just belongs in her hands with the way she can open up some space losing defenders with her change of direction moves. She has a nice shot from all over the court being able to pull up quickly to get the open look, and she makes smart adjustments to get the ball to her teammates.
