Modern basketball is all about “positionless” basketball–finding players that know how to hoop instead of know how to play a position. Coaches want wings that can do it all. They want posts that can step out on the perimeter. The more versatile a player is, the more creative a coach can be with her. These are the types of players college coaches are clamoring for.
Chloe was all district and all region for Heritage last season as a sophomore, and was critical to her team making sub state before falling one game short of the Glass House. Chloe is one of the best shooting over 6 foot players you will see and regularly hits multiple 3s per game. Recently saw a tweet from her trainer Vez Smith where she hit 12 3’s in a row in one of there drills. She’s recently picked up an offer from Lee University, as they LOVE bigs that can step out and shoot the 3 ball. She is also deadly in the mid range.
In addition to her outside shooting skills, Chloe is excellent around the rim and uses her length to block shots, draw fouls, and rebound effectively, often against girls much bigger on the GUAA circuit for FBC Reign ’25 last season. Chloe will be one of the top players at Heritage this upcoming season, and big things are expected from her. She holds several college offers already as well.
As a 6’2 big that can shoot 3’s, finish inside, protect the rim and average 8-10 boards–she’s the definition of a modern stretch big.
Kaylynn is a super skilled F who puts up ridiculous statistics for her high school team playing in a small division. She has been named All-State several times, and as far back as 7th grade. It’s a big jump from her high school competition to GUAA, but Kaylynn had a great exposure season for FBC Reign, and turned heads often defending girls much larger and using her skills around the rim and her perimeter skills to score on the larger defenders as well.
Kaylynn plays bigger than she is and is a great ball handler and consistent 3 point shooter at the F position. On the GUAA circuit she shot 64% from the floor while averaging 7 pts and 7 rebounds. She’s a versatile wing that really epitomizes the versatility to slide up or down as a post or guard. Love her game. She will again lead her high school team to try and win her 5th state championship at their level.
Perry is a 5’11 player that is beginning to showcase the skills necessary to operate on the perimeter. At a young age, some kids get pigeon holed as “posts”, and stuck down near the basket, their entire childhood careers simply because they are tall. They are essentially penalized by their height because they aren’t allowed to develop their other skills
Perry is just starting to come into her own as an uber athletic stretch 4 that can play inside or out. It’s obvious that her inside game is ahead of her perimeter skills, but she’s got what it takes to stretch her game to the outside. I’m expecting a breakout year from Perry this season.
Ava Jones Ava Jones 6’1″ | PF Hutchison | 2026 State TN – 6’1 F White County. Ava Was a starter and key player for White County as a sophomore in their ultra competitive 3A district. Ava is a very effective inside player who can also step out and knock it down from outside. Ava has long arms and plays bigger than she is due to that length, and she is a very effective interior defender who frequently leads her teams in blocked shots. Ava turned some heads in GUAA battling with taller and heavier players effectively. She also draws a tremendous number of fouls and is an excellent free-throw shooter, often racking up points at the FT line. Ava will be a starter and centerpiece player for the always excellent White County team.
Patel is just coming into her own as a player. As a 6’0 wing, she has a beautiful 3 point stroke. She’s now starting to develop the interior skill and strength needed to contribute to a team that plays at the highest level (Bearden HS). This summer, she really made big time advancements in her ability to finish through contact at the rim and make plays off the bounce. With her length and athleticism, she’s always a presence defensively. Look for Patel to have a breakout year as her combination of size and shooting abilities are hard to find.
