Continue ReadingAddison will have some big shoes to fill at Highlands Ranch as she steps into the role where she will be asked to knockdown shots and defend at a high level, all things she is capable of doing. Shooting happens to be where she stands out the most making her a threat every time down the floor. Over the summer become a more reliable ball hander and decision maker which are two things she will need as the season approaches.
Ava is skilled guard that has plenty tricks in her bag. She brings a style of play that brings excitement and flare to the team. Whether it’s crafty finish at rim through contact or a shot that was created off the dribble. Her readiness to play under any circumstance is what makes her a great asset to any team, along with the toughness she brings on the defensive end of the floor.
Davenport is name I think will take some people by surprise this upcoming year. She is a 5’11 wing that can handle the ball well in transition as well break down the defense in the half-court. Her ability to attack the paint and finish in transition sets her part from the rest of the players in her class. What really makes her special is her willingness to rebound the ball, during our Freshmen Showcase she did all the dirty work in the paint for her team. Something that coaches love to see in their incoming kids.
Highlights
Nola is one of those guards that can do just about everything on the court. She is a pesky defender that forces girls into tough spots on the court leading to turnovers. Being a bigger guard at 5’10 she can also guard multiple positions allow her coaches to play small ball at times. Nola also comes in as a threat from beyond the arc, which will hurt those teams that are playing to play zone.
Courtlyn is a crafty guard that knows how to get her shot off from anywhere on the floor, regardless of who is defending her. She is a 3-point sniper that leaves defenders frustrated and confused. The more of Courtlyn I watch the more I realize that her being able to play an outside-inside game helps out the floor for some many other players around her. Once she knows the defense is focused on her she slices through the defense to find open teammates.
