Below is a quick look at nine ladies who have gotten out to a fast start and are each averaging over 25 points per game to begin the 2023-2024 season.
(Disclaimer: stats are pulled from MaxPreps, so if you don't see someone who should be included, please encourage them to have their stats added online.)

.

[player_tooltip player_id='825863' first='Samantha' last='Redinger'], 2024, 5-7 W, Argos Community H.S.
- Samantha is off to a very hot start, averaging 34.1 points per game through seven reported games. She has already scored 239 points, and she has highs of 50 points and 47 points already this season. In fact, her lowest totals are 19 points and 29 points. She is a strong, savvy wing who has nice touch to the 3-point line. She remains uncommitted at this time.

[player_tooltip player_id='298252' first='Ava' last='Ziolkowski'], 2024, 6-1 F, Crown Point H.S.
- Ava has had an equally strong start to her season, helping the Lady Bulldogs to a 5-3 start. Her averages of 29.5 points and 9.9 rebounds are significantly higher than past seasons, plus she has scored 21 or more points in all but one game, including highs of 42 and 41 points. She is a smooth shooter from the perimeter with the size to post up inside. Ava is committed to Indiana Tech.

[player_tooltip player_id='295764' first='Maya' last='Makalusky'], 2025, 6-3 W, Hamilton Southeastern H.S.
- Maya has nearly doubled her scoring, averaging 28.0 points per game. But what's more impressive is, she has also nearly doubled her averages for rebounding (6.0 rpg), assists (2.6 apg), and steals (2.4spg). She has always been a long, smooth shooter from outside, but adding the versatility will certainly help the Royals this year. She has already verbally committed to Indiana University.

[player_tooltip player_id='404111' first='Jacklynn' last='Hosier'], 2025, 5-8 G, Alexandria-Monroe H.S.
- Jacklynn is a long, fluid, and smooth guard who does a lot of everything at both ends of the floor. Through four reported games thus far, she is averaging 27.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and an impressive 7.3 steals per game. Her ability to use her length is what makes her such a problem defensively, while offensively she can glide anywhere she needs to.

[player_tooltip player_id='295797' first='Kaycie' last='Warfel'], 2025, 5-8 G, Pendleton Heights H.S.
- Kaycie is one of the faster, more effortful players you'll find in the 2025, and she is averaging 27.5 points per game so far this season. Offensively, she's an athletic attacker, but she also has touch from the perimeter. Defensively, she is very instinctive and has some nice quick-twitch ability to change directions at a moment's notice.

[player_tooltip player_id='834913' first='Kylah' last='Patterson'], 2027, 5-11 W, Hammond Morton H.S.
- Kylah is something of an unknown on a statewide level, but this youngster has come out on fire this year. The long and athletic wing is averaging 26.6 points and 12.8 rebounds per game for the Governors, including season highs of 41 points one game, and 21 rebounds (14 offensive) the next. She is definitely someone to track over these next four seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='295789' first='Avery' last='Gordon'], 2025, 6-6 C, Brownsburg H.S.
- Already committed to Purdue University, Avery has more than established herself at both the high school and grassroots levels. As a Junior this year, she has upped her scoring average by more than eight points per game (currently 26.5), plus she has increased her rebounding average by three and a half per game (currently 12.2). She is an absolute handful.

[player_tooltip player_id='295763' first='Jaylah' last='Lampley'], 2025, 6-2 F, Lawrence Central H.S.
- Jaylah brings the best of both worlds to the floor. She can handle the ball, attack off the bounce, and score it from the perimeter, but she is also big, strong, and athletic enough to score the ball in the mid-post and with her back to the basket. For the 5-0 Lady Bears, Jaylah is averaging 25.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='572822' first='Kayla' last='Lacombe'], 2024, 5-8 W, Argos Community H.S.
- Kayla is the last member of this article, currently averaging right at 25.2 points per game. She posted the highest single-game output so far this year with a 52-point game back on November 9th. She is a strong, physical, but versatile forward who can battle inside, in the mid-post, or play comfortably around the perimeter. She is currently uncommitted.
