O’neal gave me a good first look at the Girls TABC Showcase and that look is why I added her to the Top 100 and she’s taking her variety of intangibles to Florida. She attacked the basket stronger and did a good job finishing after contact , she also played the passing lane and did a good job defensively both in and outside the paint
Hansley has that turbo that allows her to blow by defenders in transition yet her slight HEZ in the set keeps the defender off balance which is also how she can finish off the dribble after contact. Her pull-up jumper from mid to long-range was clicking, so was her “stop and pop” in transition plus she did a good job of seeing the floor, as well as applying on the ball pressure baseline to baseline yet her playing the passing lane JUST DID IT for me
George has been on the Top 100 list since she made the initial WATCHLIST and check out this article from 2018. This is why I am a REAL EVALUATOR as she’s heading to Northern Colorado and her ability to handle pressure, control the tempo and understand how to run a team are part of the reasons she’s heading to the next level yet she can score both off the dribble and from outside, that’s another part
Caught the Tulane signee a few weeks ago see evaluation here
Her PGH Top 250 Expo All Tournament performance got her added to the Top 100 yet she showed she was also able t get hers “in the flow” yet her defense is even better than I saw earlier
Yates power inside the paint has always been solid and she continues to show she can score around the basket with players literally hanging on her body but her desire going after everything off the rim had me smiling, so did her defense inside the paint. I was impressed at her guarding her man in transition as well
Johnson is “long and athletic” and her midrange continues to get better every time I catch up with her. She elevates on her jumper, this makes it tough for defenders to contain her, especially since she scores off the dribble with ease. She also did a good job hitting the boards and playing the passing lane but her timing to block shots had me smiling
Allen should have been on that other Top 100 list of players I hadn’t seen during the club season yet NuNu’s game has been embedded in my head since the 7th grade. I enjoy how she can not only drop the mid to long-range jumper under pressure against NEXT LEVEL TALENT but her ability to take over games stood out. More coming from the other event last week
Simpson falls into that “I knew her before she was born” category as her mom purchased her first pager from me over 25 years ago yet BEEP THIS, I called her a D1 Lock the first time I saw her and it was easy yet it isn’t easy to contain her as she can score however she wants, mid to long-range as well as a “highlight waiting to happen” off the dribble but her playing the passing lane as well as on the ball defense are all very good, so is her court vision and when you can make passes going full speed from 25 feet on the money, with either hand, that PAGER SHOULD GO OFF
