Continue ReadingAn assertive two-way guard, Lucero is a pest at the point of attack and passing lanes. Constantly searching for ways to leverage her quickness for fast break opportunities, Lucero has been at the lead for Skyview’s early 4-0 success. Kicking off the season with eye opening numbers, Lucero has posted 15.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 6.3 steals per game while converting 62% of her two-point attempts. Her craft and quick instincts with the ball have allowed her to get into the paint with ease, rarely rushing attempts.
A consistent decision maker in the halfcourt, Greene does an excellent job playing within her role for one of the state’s most talented rosters, starting the year 3-0. Effective spacing the floor on attempts off the catch, she has continued to speed up her footwork off of movement on shot attempts. Not fazed by an incoming contest, Greene is not one to leave open. If needed to attack the closeout, she is a proactive creator with the ball, actively making the extra pass for a great shot.
Klein is a well rounded perimeter playmaker, a threat from all three levels thanks to her fluid shooting motion. Certainly a capable ball handler, the guard can find teammates on kickouts or acutely timed passes to rolling teammates. The guard has few flaws in her game, bringing a well rounded impact for the 3-0 group. Through the start, Klein has posted 15.3 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 5.3 steals per game while contributing 40% of three point attempts.
Highlights
Kaiser is another well rounded guard, rarely rushing her decisions while maintaining steady production from all over the floor. Notching 17 points, 5 assists, and 5.5 steals per game through her first two appearances of the season, Kaiser will be one to follow. Alongside her well rounded impact has been notable efficiency beyond the arc, notching 40% on those attempts. Leading this group in assists and steals per game, Kaiser will be invaluable to Vista Ridge’s ceiling on both ends of the floor.
A handful to deal with while handling the ball, Burke-Perryman gets downhill with ease. An elite decision maker in tight spaces, the guard has no trouble digging into opponents on drives, importantly maintaining her awareness while under pressure. With the ball on a string with either hand, Burke-Perryman is notoriously difficult to stop at the point of attack, relentlessly attacking the lane regardless of transition or with a set defense.
Kravig has brought a well rounded impact for University, impacting that group in just about every category. Top-3 for University in the five major categories of points, assists, rebounds, blocks, and steals, she has done a great job of maintaining value in just about every situation. Possessing a wide reach and assertive defensive habits, Kravig is constantly on the prowl to cause chaos for opposing ball handlers. Following a change in possession, the guard does well pushing the break to create opportunities while the defense continues to rotate, constantly aware of opportunities at hand.
