Karns hosted Sevier County on 12/11. I also attended Bearden HS where they hosted Alcoa on 12/12. These 4 teams are full of talent! A few of the notable performances are below.

First, lets start with Sevier County vs Karns. Sevier County played excellent defense from the jump and took a commanding lead early. Sevier County beat Karns 69-32. Sevier County was led in scoring by unsigned senior [player_tooltip player_id='877807' first='Kinley' last='Loveday']. [player_tooltip player_id='290720' first='Aubree' last='Laney'] finished with 14 points, 4 assists, and 6 steals! LMU is getting a good, versatile player in Laney! [player_tooltip player_id='631090' first='Cybil' last='Penland'] finished with 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals! A few more notable players include:

Jadyn Sharp | 6' | PF | 2025 | Sevier County HS- I stated before that I don't think that we are talking about Jadyn Sharp enough. Sharp was excellent and continues to prove why she is one of the top post players! Sharp finished with 6 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. This is a GREAT stat line for a post player! If you have a post player that can get you 5 assists when the ball is not in her hands 75% of the time, you know it is going to be a good night! Jadyn is a long and lengthy player with a strong build that is truly a tough inside presence! A strong finisher at the rim and a rebounding machine. I hope all college coaches are keeping their eyes on this one!

[player_tooltip player_id='821733' first='Kaliyah' last='Burden'] | 5'8 | G | 2027 | Sevier County HS - A freshman guard that continues to show her versatility! Burden finished this game with 4 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. At first, Burden will grab your attention on the defensive side of the ball. She can shut down players and make it extremely difficult for any player that she is guarding! She also uses her length extremely well. This one is definitely one of my favorite 2027's to watch because she plays the game of basketball the right way and she showcased that against Karns too!

[player_tooltip player_id='245386' first='Madison' last='Perrin'] | 5'10 | G | 2024 | Karns HS - Offense was extremely hard to come by for the entire Karns squad. Despite the loss, Perrin finished as the 2nd leading scorer on the team with 9 points. Again, Madison is a long, athletic guard that is efficient. She has a good shot selection with a good understanding of the game!

Now, it's time for Bearden vs Alcoa. It was a great defensive battle and Bearden forced the most turnovers! The entire Bearden team played great defense! Bearden won 48-39. Bearden was led in scoring by [player_tooltip player_id='513233' first='Natalya' last='Hodge']. Hodge finished with 14 points, 4 steals, and 4 rebounds. More notable athletes from the game:

Kendall Murphy | G | 2025 | Bearden HS - Murphy finished with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Kendall put on quite the performance! The amount of forced turnovers may not show on a stat sheet but it was apparent the impact that Kendall had! Kendall is a great 2 way player with a non-stop motor! Kendall holds offers to play at the next level. However, every college coach should have eyes on her now because she is a guard that you don't want to play against!

Rachael Wilhoit | G | 2024 | Bearden HS- Wilhoit was all over the hustle stats and never once stopped working! Rachael finished with 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Rachael made beautiful passes throughout the game! The energy that Wilhoit plays with is one that every coach wants to see. This Bearden team is deep in talent and they all play with a lot of heart! Bearden is 9-0 for a reason and the entire team, including Wilhoit deserves the credit!

What more can possibly be said about [player_tooltip player_id='245367' first='Amelia' last='Pfeiffer']? Pfeiffer finished with 15 points & 14 rebounds. I'll reiterate that Tennessee Tech is getting a GREAT one! Despite the loss, more notable performances:

Kara Pitts | G | 2025 | Alcoa HS - Pitts finished the game with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. The softball standout gets it done on the basketball court too. This dual sport athlete is fun to watch! She plays with a tenacity that can't be taught! Crashes the boards hard and plays with relentless effort!

[player_tooltip player_id='810523' first='Gwen' last='Carroll'] | G | 2026 | Alcoa HS - Carroll is one of the most athletic players on the court at all times. It doesn't matter who Alcoa is playing, Gwen passes the eye test and definitely screams athleticism! Gwen finished with 8 points and 1 extremely nice block! I don't know Gwen's exact vertical but it's definitely something to make note of because this young sophomore is going to be talked about a lot!

A few notable performances were mentioned above. I expect to see a lot more of all of these teams! Keep working ladies!

Karns hosted Sevier County on 12/11. I also attended Bearden HS where they hosted Alcoa on 12/12. These 4 teams are full of talent! A few of the notable performances are below.
