Sadie is a small yet tough backcourt player who is very tough off the bounce. She has a quick first step, burst off the bounce, and lives in the paint. She scores in a variety of ways with a scoring arsenal consisting of floaters, runners, and trey balls. She finishes well at the cup amongst the trees, and when she doesn’t have clean looks, she sprays to open shooters or drop dimes to her post players whose defender she has forced into helping. She is definitely at her best with the ball in her hands and the freedom to create.
Melissa Odom (6’2/G|F|C/2026/Jasper HS)

It is hard to look at Melissa’s game and not begin thinking that even though she probably would not get it this year, she would get some votes for Miss. Basketball. Her game is beyond her years, and she impacts every area of the game. She has good positional size and is very skilled with the rock. She can play a finesse style or a physical style of basketball, and she is dominant in either. She is extremely hard to guard as she has a true post-game and perimeter skills. She rims and runs, and when she is not leading the break, she runs the floor hard. Opposing coaches know that Jasper is looking to feed her often, yet still has very little success containing her. In the post, she does an excellent job with her body and holding off defenders. She is a workhorse who can go get a bucket whenever she wants, and while she is a scoring threat every time she touches the ball, her passing is undervalued. Her physical tools and potential have made her into a high-profile prospect, and truthfully, she hasn’t even scratched the surface of what she can emerge into. Oh, and did I mention that while she is getting a lot of love for her play on the court, she really gets it done in softball, as she is the #9-ranked player in the nation in her class.

Sarah has good positional size and can score inside and out. She shoots it very well from beyond the arc, and when she is run off the line, she can put the rock on the floor and create her shot off the bounce. Her game draws fouls, and she finds herself at the charity strike often. She has a good IQ and is trusted by her coaches to be another ball-handler who has good court awareness and court vision. She has shown early that she can handle being one of the primary scoring options for her squad.
Libby Geisler Libby Geisler 5'7" | SG Mountain Brook | 2025 State AL (5’6/CG/2025/Mountain Brook HS)

Libby can get it done from beyond the arc as well as off the bounce. She is a reliable ball-handler who can get to her spots and create her own shots. Not only is she a tough shot-taker, but she is a tough shot-maker. She brings a level of toughness to her squad, and she doesn’t back down from anyone. She balances scoring and facilitating and provides production with both. Libby is a sturdy guard who excels at penetrating the lane and scoring from mid-range and at the rim, and she is also an excellent passer who finds shooters off of penetration.

Jareah is a skilled guard with good positional size and length. She is an impactful two-way player with a good IQ. She is a versatile talent who orchestrates the offense well and plays like a coach on the floor. She can score it off the bounce and goes to the offensive glass, where she manufactures points through put-backs. Jareah can handle the rock in the open floor, makes good decisions with the ball, and score inside and out. Defensively, she guards multiple positions, and her level of activity on both ends of the floor and on the glass keeps her squad motivated and working on every possession.
Haley Trotter Haley Trotter 5'11" | PF Chelsea | 2025 State AL (6’0/G|F/2025/Chelsea HS)

Haley is an interior presence who brings toughness to her squad. She is very strong and active on the glass and establishes good position before chasing the board. From the girls’ games I have seen early on, she can easily be considered the best glass cleaner I have seen thus far. She is also an interior scoring presence who provides production in the scoring column from the low block. Haley showed her ball-handling skills and her ability to beat defenders off the bounce. She is a primary scoring option for her team, and her production on the offensive end of the floor will be needed throughout the season.

I need you to follow me with this one. Mountain Brook…last name Davis…can stroke the rock…you may be thinking Ty or Trey, but this is not an article discussing boys. You may be asking if there is another Davis that people need to take notice of, and my answer to that is YES! You know Ty, you are getting to know Trey, but let me introduce you to Avery, their little sister who is getting varsity action as an 8th-grader. She is a reliable ball-handler who, as I said, can stroke the rock. Shooting is definitely a strength in the Davis family, and Avery has the stroke and the range. There is going to be a lot of ink put on Avery, and I am going to go ahead and put it out there; she may end up being just as good or better as her two older brothers.
