The 2025 Davey Crocket PG is averaging 9.7 assists per game. That’s an elite high school number. If you watch her play, you simply get a sense that she intuitively know where her teammates will be and where they want the basketball to be in position to score. Only averages 7 points….but she does her job at an extremely high level.
Sometimes you don’t know how good, or important, a player is until you don’t have them. Farragut HS has had a tough year. They’ve played an extremely hard schedule, they fight and claw and scratch and keep every game close. But, they are still hanging around .500 in large part because of the subtraction of Priest as she’s battled injuries. She’s a true PG that leads her teammates, that exudes confidence, and makes everyone around them better.

Pearly-Cohn has come out this year with some bite! And that’s due in large part to Thomas’ leadership from the PG spot. She’s averaging nearly 7 assists per game, and carries herself like a floor general. She is the engine that makes Pearl Cohn go.

Sullivan is one of my favorite PGs in the state because she’s so diverse. She averages 13 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. She impacts winning on both sides of the ball, and offensively, acts like an extension of the coach on the floor. She knows where everyone is supposed to be, and she holds her teammates accountable in a combative way. Great leadership skills.
Burns, despite battling injuries, is still among the leaders in the state in assists, averaging right at 5 per game. Gatlinburg-Pittman is a completely different team with Burns on the floor, and if she’s healthy come playoff time…..watchout.
Proffit deserves a shout for her 4.1 assists per game. What is love is that Profitt simply does whatever it takes to win. Skylar Walden Skylar Walden 5’8″ | PG The Kings Academy | 2027 TN is actually the teams assists leader, but when your 2nd leader is averaging over 4 assists per game it means the ball is moving freely.
“Speedo” is a kid that could have much different stats on a different team…but to her credit….she doesn’t care about stats. The PG has filled her role perfectly with a high level freshman scoring SG by her side. She’s giving 12 points and 4.5 assists, while constantly putting pressure on the rim collapsing the defense for shooters.

Speedo is a baller…and I can’t help but watch her and want more from her! And I mean this in the kindest way–I think Hawkins is LEGIT. I’ve seen her on the AAU circuit against top notch kids! I think Hawkins needs to score 15 points and average 5 assists per game for this Cumberland team (and that’s easily doable for her). Teams will start taking the freshman away defensively….and Hawkins will have to step up when that time comes. Her recent 20 point outing vs Livingston was a great sign!
