Raining Treys: Juniors Cashing In From Deep

PGH Scouts feature athletes making it rain from deep.

This is the second edition of a new PGH Kansas series “Raining Treys.” The series will feature athletes who are scoring from 3-point range.   This report features shooters from the Class of 2025 who have converted at least 15 3-point field goals so far this season.   [player_tooltip player_id='456532' first='Halle' last='Jones'], 5'5”, PG, Holcomb, ‘25   The Longhorn point guard is currently ranked No. 82 in the PGH Kansas rankings for the Class of 2025. She has made 22 3-point baskets in nine games for Holcomb. She is averaging 17.9 points per contest and is cleaning glass for 7.6 rebounds per game.   Delaney Sides, 5'6”, G/F, Northern Valley, ‘25   Sides has converted on 21-of-62 field goal attempts from 3-point range. She is scoring 9.9 points per game for the Huskies and is collecting 6.4 rebounds per contest.   [player_tooltip player_id='649176' first='Zoie' last='Redgate'], 5'5”, PG, Attica, ‘25   Redgate is putting up a ton of shots for Attica. Through 10 games she has shot 150 total field goals including 76 attempts from 3-point range. She has made 19 3-pointers and is scoring 14.5 points per game. She is filling up the stat line on the back of her basketball card to the tune of six rebounds, 5.2 steals, and 3.8 assists per game. Redgate is currently ranked No. 149 in the PGH rankings.   [player_tooltip player_id='688063' first='Kierslynn' last='Waggoner'], 5'7”, CG, Arkansas City, ‘25   Waggoner is shooting an impressive 43 percent from deep. She has made 20 total 3-point baskets in eight games and is averaging 11.1 points per contest. Waggoner is currenlty ranked No. 122 in the Class of 2025.   [player_tooltip player_id='616751' first='Katy' last='Mooney'], 5'6, CG, Columbus, ‘25   Mooney is a three-sport prospect out of Columbus. The Titan junior is scoring 11.1 points per game and has made 19 3-point field goals.  Mooney also plays volleyball and softball for Columbus. PGH currently has Mooney ranked No. 94 in the Class of 2025.   [player_tooltip player_id='456514' first='Tayten' last='Dewey'], 5'10”, F, Rawlins County, ‘25   Dewey is almost averaging a double-double through eight games. The Rawlins County junior is scoring 12.5 points per game and collecting 8.3 rebounds. She is shooting 17-of-41 from behind the arc. Dewey is currently ranked No. 41 in the most updated Kansas rankings.   Anne Schawe, 5'8”, G, Reno County Home School, ‘25   Schawe is averaging 10.4 points per game for the Sabres. She has made 17 3-point field goals but is shooting only at a 22 percent success rate from deep.   Mylee Hammond, 5'5”, CG, Clifton-Clyde, ‘25   Hammond had converted on 17 3-point field goals for the Eagles. In nine games she is averaging 7.4 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest.   Jordyn Beckman, 5'5”, G, Wheatland-Grinnell, ‘25   Beckman has been bringing rain for the Thunderhawks. She has made 16 field goals from behind the arc but is shooting just 23% from deep. The junior guard is scoring 8.1 points per game and 2.8 steals per contest.   [player_tooltip player_id='398384' first='Kinzee' last='Baurle'], 5'7”, CG, Atchison County, ‘25   In six games played Bauerle is averaging 19.5 points for the Tigers. She has been successful on 15-of-38 3-point attempts which is a shooting percentage of 39%. The ACCHS combo guard is also being productive on the defensive end averaging 3.5 steals and 3.8 rebounds per game. Baurle is currently ranked in the No. 65 slot among her Class of 2025 peers.
