S4L Showcase: New Underclassmen to Know

I was able to catch a handle of games out east this weekend including a typical high school game on Friday night along with the Strictly for the Ladies Showcase on Saturday. There was a lot of talent on display including some names that are new to me. Let’s take a look at some of the new underclassmen that you should know.

Paris Barber Paris Barber 5’8″ | SF Seventy-First | 2026 NC hustles up the court being ready for the pass in transition. She gets inside for rebounds on defense knowing how to immediately push it up the court. She had some nice post moves getting the pass with her back to the basket and turning to score. She was explosive getting to the basket blowing by her opponents.

Cheyenne Soles Cheyenne Soles 5’2″ | SG Westover | 2026 NC was scoring on all levels pulling up for the transition three pointer with ease. She attacks the basket, too, not backing down from contact and making her points count from the free throw line. She did a nice job tying up the ball for the blocked shot as her opponents tried to get to the basket.

had a nice three pointer off an offensive rebound. She hit several more threes throughout the game showing how she can score on all levels. Her length is an asset, especially on defense being able to block shots. She didn’t back down when things were getting tough in the matchup knocking down three pointers right when her team needed it.

Kariana Williams Kariana Williams 5’4″ | CG Seventy-First | 2027 NC hustled back on defense getting a nice block in transition. She creates plays on fast breaks scoring at the rim herself, or she makes the perfect dish to her teammates. She stepped outside the perimeter and showed off her range making it off the pass.
