Highlights
Jordan Hunter Jordan Hunter 5’10” | C Hewitt-Trussville | 2024 State AL , one of the consensus best players in the state, dominated once again. Hunter did not a little bit, but a lot of everything. In a near 40 point win Hunter finished with 24 points, 7 boards, and 7 assists. Hunter would have likely done even more if the score wasn’t so lopsided.
Karma Wynn Karma Wynn 5’3″ | PG Pelham | 2024 State AL had an efficient 17 in a comfortable win over Helena. Wynn tracked down 6 steals as well. Wynn and her teammate Tee King combined for 34 points which would have been enough to still beat Helena by double digits.
Maddie Walter
Maddie Walter
Maddie Walter played like anything but a freshman against Shades Valley. Walter finished with 16 points and 16 boards. its felt as if Walter grabbed every other shot that came off the rim. Walter dominated the interior, but despite her dominance Mountain Brook was unable to come away with the win.
Brinley Funderburk
Brinley Funderburk
Brinley Funderburk finished with 19 points in a game that was an offensive clinic. Mortimer Jordan might be the most high powered offense in the state, and this game showed that. Funderburk got out in transition, and did a good job of getting to the rim. Interestingly enough Funderburk wasn’t even Mortimer Jordan’s leading scorer.
