Molly Brown Molly Brown 5’8″ | SG Lincoln Co. | 2025 State TN connects all the things. She’s the ultimate glue kid that plays team first basketball, always seems to make the right play, the extra pass, grabs the important 50/50 ball. You can expect Bryan to be face guarded and gimmicked to death the rest of the way, and it will be up to Molly Brown Molly Brown 5’8″ | SG Lincoln Co. | 2025 State TN and Co. to continue to take advantage of the scoring opportunities that Bryan’s gravity creates.
In their win over Columbia Central on Saturday night, Brown scored 16 points. She was 5-9 from the floor with 2 threes. ’26 Grasen Tipps finished with 11 points and 3 made 3’s. Great well rounded team win for Lincoln.

Basketball can be really tough. Only 5 players can play at a time. There’s only one ball that must be shared. Sometimes as a player, you get caught in a situation where the minutes, or shots, or anything else for that matter might not be what the player (and likely parents) were hoping for, but it’s on the kid to be mature enough to do all the stuff we ask of young prep hoopers: “Stay ready.” “Keep grinding.” “Your time will come.” These are all easy cliches say, and tweet, but are really hard to actually do.
Sydney English did just that. The 5’10 Farragut transfer has struggled to find minutes on the state champion Knox Catholic team, but by all accounts, it’s not due to a lack of talent. The kid can play. According to Coach Mains, she’s continued to work hard, and was ready when her number was called yesterday due to Amaya Redd Amaya Redd 5’10” | SF Knox. Catholic | 2025 State TN being sick. And English showed out! The kid had 9 points with 3 made threes. She played a really strong overall game and made some big time plays when her team needed it. Well done young lady.
Caroline Krueger had 14 points on 5-8 shooting, and 5! offensive rebounds. Sydney Mains Sydney Mains 5’11” | SF Knoxville Catholic | 2024 State TN had 14 points on 3 made threes, and 5 boards. Maggie Frana Maggie Frana 5’9″ | SF Knoxville Catholic | 2025 State TN had her typical 6 points, 7 rebound game.
Loretto got a 28 point masterpiece from Ally Weathers Ally Weathers 5’8″ | SG Loretto | 2025 State TN , including an 8-8 fourth quarter to put the game away, as Loretto won the District 10-2A tournment championship Saturday. Jenny Clifton Jenny Clifton 5’8″ | SF Loretto | 2024 State TN ’24 had 12, Sophie Weathers Sophie Weathers 5’9″ | SF Loretto | 2027 TN and Jessie Chance each added 9.
District C0-MVP Karlie Campbell led Summertown with 14. Alivia Riggs Alivia Riggs 5’7″ | SG Summertown | 2024 State TN also added 9.
Both teams advance to host a region tournament game, and for Loretto, Grundy and their stud post Kallie Parsons Kallie Parsons 5’11” | PF Grundy Co. | 2027 TN , will have to make a 2 hour drive.
Goodpasture beat PCA 67-57 as the Lions got a big 22 point performance from Daisy Gale Daisy Gale 5’8″ | PG PCA | 2024 State TN , and 18 from Bjornstad. The two make a super tough duo to shut down. PCA will host a sectional tournament game this upcoming week.
Blackman beat Oakland 45-43 in a tightly knit contest. Kaelyn Flowers Kaelyn Flowers 5’6″ | PG Blackman | 2024 State TN , however, was just DOMINANT in this one….as now she’s both the District 8-4A regular season and district tourney MVP. She exploded for 26 on a night that Lyriq Mastin Lyriq Mastin 5’7″ | CG Blackman | 2025 State TN was held to 9, and Aaiyanna Dunbar Aaiyanna Dunbar 6’2″ | C Blackman | 2024 State TN was held to 3. Blackman is peaking at just the right time.
