Northern Athletic Conference: Freshmen Performers

The end of the regular season is here. Conference Tournaments will begin next week. Here is a look at freshman performers in the Northern Athletic Conference (NAC) this season.   [player_tooltip player_id='928367' first='Lauren' last='Brown'] | Millbrook High School   Versatile player who can score in various ways. Offensively, she can shoot the three consistently. She is also a threat around the rim displaying good touch. Defensively, her length and athleticism allow her to block shots and get steals and deflections.   Hadley Chang | Wake Forest High School   Young player who played major minutes for Wake Forest. She is a good catch-and-shoot shooter with solid footwork and mechanics. She also showed some promise with her ability to work as a secondary creator/playmaker. She will be a player to watch.   Taylor McCartney| Wake Forest High School   Another player from Wake Forest with a lot of potential. Taylor impacts a game in a variety of ways. She has the ability to score at all three levels. She has solid fundamentals. She has range past the three-point line. Defensively, she plays good defense and causes the opposition to turn the ball over.   Regan Mondell-Long | Heritage High School   High IQ player who will continue to develop over the next few years. She has good touch and finishing ability around the rim. She is a player that is not afraid to get out and guard the opposing player. That willingness to guard led to her being in the right position for steals and deflections.   [player_tooltip player_id='1221166' first='Nicole' last='Amend'] | WakeField High School   Amend is brewing with potential and will become a greater player. She has good positional size. She couples that with skills to be able to shoot the ball from behind the line. She can attack closeouts and finish at the rim. Defensively, she can block and alter shots.
