Prospect Evals From Novi At Howell

She brought a well rounded game on Friday that really stresses defenders. Piepho can score off a catch and shoot, but also showed the ability to find a path to the rim and attack off the bounce. She saw the floor well and read the action, especially late in crunch time. After watching Popyk play on Friday, I think they got a steal. She's a different player this season. She has a confidence and a toughness that has carried her to a different level. Popyk manipulated matchups in this game by attacking the lane with physicality, using a top notch mid range game and also working with her back to the basket against smaller defenders. She had a length mismatch that she used on the glass and as a way to flip a floater over the top of the defense. If you've followed my work for a while, you probably know that I've been a huge fan of Farr's game for quite some time now. Well Friday night just reaffirmed what I thought before. She's a leader on the floor and the type that every championship team needs. Farr does a lot of things well, but it's her grit and passion for play on the defensive end that always stands out to me. She looked really athletic taking the ball to the right on Friday. Farr was able to push the pace off the bounce as well as with an accurate downcourt pass. I've seen her have big games against great teams and players. She was solid again on Friday against an elite backcourt. Lindsey is a strong and physical point guard and she used that to move and control her defenders. She looked very comfortable in the mid range and really looked to attack that part of the floor. Lindsey had multiple mid range buckets. Coming out of that gym, she's on my list and is a player that I will certainly be tracking. She came off the bench and was a HUGE influence on the game. Kanka was very active on the glass, grabbing at least 4 that I made note of. She extended possessions and created offense with her work on the glass. She was one of those players that just always seemed to be around the ball and involved in plays. It was probably hard not to notice her, and that's a good thing. Mackerl was very comfortable working off the right block and made some athletic plays around that spot.
