The Lady Saints playing without [player_tooltip player_id='331899' first='Grace' last='Owens'] a 1,000-point career scorer prevailed today in the opening round of the SCISA Class 3A State Tourney. The Lady Saints got strong play from Claire Owens (Grace's sister) wearing her sisters jersey number and post player [player_tooltip player_id='386571' first='Payton' last='Rumley']. Claire came out on fire dropping three balls from downtown to get the game started. Rumley is a physical post presence who really likes to play the game with a blue-collar mindset. She does her best work close to the basket and seems to be effective closer to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='831289' first='Campbell' last='Childers'] will be a name to follow in the many years to come. Childers a point guard is a member of the Class of 2029. Campbell just a 7th grader runs the show for the Northside Christian Lady Crusaders. She logs a lot of minutes and never looked to come off the floor. Childers really liked to use a nice little crossover move a times on the way to the cup. She played poised for her young age out on the floor.

Thompson is a big, bodied post player already for her young age. Zaria really likes to play the game on contact and bullying defenders down low. She really needs to stay out of foul trouble to say on the court. Zaria has very nimble footwork from block to block and the ability to overpower defenders down low with her size.
