Porter came out of no-where this season to win the District 3-2A Player of Year. Averaging 18 a game, she was likely Oak Ridge’s most consistent player on a team loaded with nice talent. Zeyana Stewart Zeyana Stewart 5’7″ | SG Oak Ridge | 2025 State TN ‘s scoring comes in different way’s from Porter, and Jenna Johnson Jenna Johnson 5’11” | C Oak Ridge | 2025 State TN is as unique as they come. Jenaya Pippens gives a spark. Euleesha Mitchell Euleesha Mitchell 5’9″ | SG Oak Ridge | 2027 TN was all district. The diversity on this Oak Ridge roster gives them a chance at making big time noise.
As Rockvale preps for their post season, the play of Ayedan Wilkerson ’25 has caught my eye. Wilkerson is crazy athletic with nice length and instincts that make her a top tier perimeter defender already. Offensively, she’s always relied on her athleticism to get her easy buckets at the rim, but her game has really transformed this year has her skill has improved exponentially.

Oakland’s roster is full of veteran leadership and college level players, and Phillips is another example. The Shorter committ has had a tremendous senior year making an incredibly physical, strong, imposing duo with Alonna Poole Alonna Poole 5’11” | SF Oakland | 2024 State TN and Amaya Nash Amaya Nash 5’6″ | SG Oakland | 2026 State TN .
I think because there are so many really really good Knoxville area freshmen, the season Izy Wiles Izy Wiles 5’7″ | SG Powell | 2027 TN got a bit overlooked. The freshman sharpshooter has had super steady season for Powell, and has even put together some MONSTER performances. Kid is a flame-thrower that gets hot in a hurry. Super quick trigger off the bounce. Improved rapidly through the season, and ended up earning All-District honors.

Maryville Christian won on Saturday night, and they are getting some fantastic production from ’25 Haylee Dunmoyer late in the season. The junior went for 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Kaybrie Patterson Kaybrie Patterson 5’5″ | PG Maryville Christian | 2025 State TN had 18 points and 6 assists. Victoria Wright finished with a huge double-double: 10 points and 15 rebounds. And Hagen Kirkpatrick Hagen Kirkpatrick 5’6″ | CG Maryville Christian | 2025 State TN had 9 points, 5 assists. MC has multiple guards that can make plays with some posts that put pressure on this rim. I really like this team.
Brewer continues to impress for Cleveland HS. In Saturday’s win over Rhea Count, the wing had another solid performance with 9 points on only 6 attempted shots (3-6, 1-2 from 3). Tamiah Tanner Tamiah Tanner 5’8″ | SF Cleveland | 2025 State TN also gave great minutes again, chipping in 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals. Both of these wings have played really nice basketball for Cleveland of late, as they went undefeated through district play. Lauren Hurst Lauren Hurst 6’3″ | PF Cleveland | 2025 State TN had an easy 15, 11, and 5 blocks.
Chattanooga Christian is coming……and they aren’t scared to play anyone!! On Saturday they made the trip to Cleveland to play Bradley Central, and needless to say, the Bearrettes won. BUT….this Chattanooga Christian team is fun to watch, young, gritty, and not scared! I’ve loved the play of Rainey: a 5’9 PF that battles on the glass and gives great effort. While Aubriyana Camp Aubriyana Camp 5’7″ | SG Chattanooga Christian School | 2027 TN and Kamora Moore grab the headlines, Rainey grabs the boards.
Ashlock put together a tremendous week for Clay County as they went 4-0 and seem to be peaking at the right time. Halle Buford grabs the spotlight, but is Ashlock can continue to be a high level scorer (averaged 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals on the week), then it changes Clay’s trajectory.
