2024 Player Rankings Update: Top 5

In the article below, we are going to cover our new Top 5 from the 2024 Class. Stanley has been a constant on the High School Varsity floor the past four seasons and she can't wait to graduate, taking her talents to the next level. I would describe Stanley's play-style as calm but sophisticated. She moves effortlessly with the ball in her hands, while being a fantastic passer. She is an athlete that is very good once she gets into the teeth of defense, usually making a play in one way or another. This previous past few months, Stanley left it all out on the floor and she should be really proud of that. Just like Stanley, Riley has put together a really nice high school career, ending it with a State Title this past season at the 5A level. Every time that I have seen her compete on a basketball court, no matter the situation or surrounding, she has shown up. Whether it's during AAU against some elite players from all over the country or in her home state of Iowa. When she laces them up, she dominates with her aggressive demeanor while attacking her opponent. When she has fast break opportunities or 1v1 situations in open space, she thrives and there is just no other way to put it. She was the prospect that was crucial in her team's success throughout her career and I'm hoping that she can ride this momentum into a career with the Bearcats over the next four years.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["246134"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='246134' first='Elise' last='Jaeger'] didn't cap off her high school career with a State Title but she should be extremely proud of how she has produced throughout her four years. Jaeger is an athlete with smarts, natural size, and a whole lot of heart. She is a producer on both sides of the floor and she never gives up on a play. This season Jaeger was put in a weird situation in my opinion. Her team was trying to run an offense that didn't really work with her play style and she STILL did a great job of showing out every contest. At the next level. I have a feeling that Jaeger is going to become even better then she is right now. Her team is going to set her up for successful situations near the hoop. If she can took advantages of those moments, while understanding situation basketball, she is going to be able to make an instant impact almost right away. With all that being said, Jaeger is going to hold onto her #3 spot in this Update. She is a high energy player, who plays with her emotions on her sleeve. Levin is an Iowa commit and I know she can't wait to get on campus to help her home state Hawkeyes. I would say that Levin is as versatile as they come at the Guard position. She has the ability to move between the 1 or the 2 spot, depending on who she has on the floor around her. At the high school Varsity level, she has been unstoppable the past few years. She has demonstrated that she can take anyone off of the dribble or she can step back and hit shots from deep. I'm not exactly sure where she is going to fit within the Hawkeyes offense but she works really hard so I'm not too worried. She is going to find her own role on their team and I can't wait to see what that role may be. Tanke falls into this spot for a few reasons but the most important being her production within the team she is on, combined with her shooting ability. Every single time I sit down to watch Tanke compete, she has 20 points and is shooting like something around 40-60% from behind the three point line. Her game the past four years has been the definition of inventible and thats been the case while she has had a handful of D1 athletes on the same floor as her. Honestly, to me this has always been a tough debate between who should be the #1 player in this 2024 Class, Levin or Tanke. I think it comes down to what you want in your system. There is really no correct answer so looking forward, it's going to all weigh on how they are used in their collegiate offense. If they are both set up for success, they could put together impressive college careers.
