There were big time players that had big time championship games, that are ready to showcase themselves in grassroots season. Let’s look at some players that were in the state finals that everyone should be ready to watch this spring and summer.
As a sophomore Beal was a key piece of the West Bloomfield state title run. She’ll be back next year with a go-to role on the team. Watch her this grassroots season and you’ll see that she’s ready. Beal has that elite blow by ability combined with a high percentage jumper. She’s reliable with the ball and keeps her turnover numbers low.
Liggins helped her Grand Blanc team to a memorable championship game run. The best part is, she’s just getting started, Liggins could see the ball in her hands a ton next season, and over grassroots season you’ll see that’s a good thing. She can handle the ball with both speed and quickness. Liggins is an energy waterbug type of player that seems to be everywhere.

Musah-Johnson showed us this season exactly what she should be a top 100 prospect in her class and a national recruiting target. She’s a must see big time prospect this grassroots season. Musah-Johnson is a versatile wing that can find angles and slash to the rim. She can also utilize her athleticism to create when her team needs a bucket.
I’m just going to come out and say it. Miller is a D1 type of prospect and one of the best all around lead guards in the midwest. She just keeps having stellar game after stellar game no matter what stage she’s on. Miller is one of the best and most efficient shooters you’ll see this summer and she makes excellent decisions with the ball in her hands.

Gill helped her Niles Brandywine team all the way to the state championship game. She’s a player that I’d watch out for and could have a huge season next year. The talent is there and you can see it this grassroots season. Gill is a stone cold shooter that can fire at any time from basically anywhere. She has a mid range pull up game that matches her deep ball.
