Sport Complex in Edmund, Oklahoma. Scouts Johnny Vick, Sam Duren and I caught games at the two facilities. Below are six of the standouts I saw.
‘Ace’ is a big bodied, strong center/power forward with a burgeoning game. The years ahead should be fun to watch. She made life difficult on the defensive end not just because of her build but also of defending with real intent inside. Offensively she showed good bounce on her one-dribble move off the catch to stroke a mid-range jumper and her head and shoulder fakes to work off the bounce. She is consistent scoring threat around the hoop and has a little wasted movement on all of her shots. The Saints went 3-0 and she was a major driver of that success.

Brewer is strong, hustling, young post player with terrific frame. She works hard out of her block game and battles opposing bigs well defensively and on the boards. Brewer also changes ends well. As she gets coached up over the upcoming years her presence in the paint has the potential to be very, very formidable.
Harmony Washington
Harmony Washington
Washington is a point guard who, because of how streaky she is as a three point shooter, is also effective as a shooting guard. The potential to for her to be a high caliber point guard, not a good player who plays the point, is very high. She is clearly the team’s floor leader and she can be vocal directing teammates at times. Washington handles with transition speed, finishes with athleticism, is athletic in a variety of situations, has a quick release, and has stickiness as a defender. The potential is there to develop into a very high quality on-ball defender. Has a tendency to miss the easy pass on drives then tries to make the wrap-around and other difficult passes.
As the day went along it became clearly apparent that Feldman was one of the top two-way bigs in the division. A long – and long limbed – and fast player she showed quickness and smarts on both ends. A substantial threat to go coast-to-coast off the defensive rebound or turnover, she also ran the floor correctly to catch and finish transition finishes. Help-side defense was strong from her as was defending on the wing or inside. Feldman showed ball skills to work in the front court, back-to-basket abilities to score with either hand and an ability to knock down shots fluidly in the mid-range and beyond the ark. An absolute terrible match-up problem for every opponent.

For a undersized team with a short bench Kirk brought hustle and scrappiness to the floor in every game. While she finished at speed in transition, could knock down shots at all three levels and defend with energy she was not the pure shooter, flashy ball handler or other things that would draw eyes. Kirk hustles, scraps and does a great deal of little things that help her team be successful.

Whitney Jense
Whitney Jense
Jense is a skillful, lengthy point guard who handles well at speed and was an absolute mismatch problem for every team. She scores well at all three levels, is slick off the bounce and in transition to get to the rim, and was a problem for most defenders on both ends. She showed lateral quickness and disruptiveness on the defensive end. Jense also led breaks with control and maturity.
