A weekend to remember at the Apache!

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What a weekend? Basketball was played non-stop on courts at different venues on Friday, Saturday, &amp; Sunday. I watched so many athletes with different styles. Most athletes had one thing in common, the love for the game! She rebounds exceptionally well. She runs the floor exceptionally well. She uses her great size u0026amp; length and defends exceptionally well, u0026amp; she does all of the little things to help her team! When she is in the high post, she passes out of the double team exceptionally well! Don't get it wrong, she can definitely score the ball. She has a soft touch around the rim. Giles is a great on ball defender that will make you work every possession! She moves her feet exceptionally well. She stays active at all times. She was causing havoc and creating turnovers. She provides great help defense. I love a great defensive player, u0026amp; [player_tooltip player_id='1122538' first='Zaylan' last='Giles'] is exactly that! Zaylan has a true non-stop motor. She was diving on the floor for loose balls. She was an athlete that gave over 100% and we all took notice! She's smart and she is extremely unselfish! This was my first time watching Laityn. Yes, she is a well known 3 point shooter in our state! I love the fact that she doesn't get sped up. Kirby puts in the work that you will never see on a stat sheet. She has a good understanding of angles and post entry passes. She picked up numerous steals over the weekend by getting into passing lanes. Yes, she was able to knock down some long balls too. If she gets a head full of steam attacking downhill, good luck getting in front to stop her. She's great at exploding to the rim and getting past defenders! She turns defense to offense extremely fast. All of her off court work continues to show every time she steps on the hardwood! She has an amazing work ethic! Honestly, I could write an entire article on her work ethic alone. I love a basketball savvy kid that gets it, and she gets it! Arguably the greatest shooter of all-time once said, u0022I have supreme confidence in shooting the ball. If I'm shooting it, I think I'm going to make it. The confidence is always there.u0022 Hammons is a great, confident outside shooter. Keep all eyes on this athlete going forward. This lefty guard has an extremely high IQ and it shows when she's on the court! When you start checking off the boxes, KK checks them all. She has great body language with a positive attitude. She takes every possession serious! She's vocal on the court. She can handle the ball extremely well. She can get to the basket. She can shoot at a very high percentage! She can defend. Arnold knows exactly how to set her teammates up. There is so much to love about this one's overall game. She has the complete package. Remember, she is only a sophomore so she is going to continue to improve in all aspects too.
