AA All-State: Player Comments

On March 21st, the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NDAPSSA) announced the All-State Basketball Team for Class AA in North Dakota.   This is a shoutout and congratulatory article! There are 11 total players on the All-State Team, 5 on the First Team, and 6 on the Second Team due to voting ties.   See below for the list of players, stats, and baller notes.   Prep Girls Hoops Dakotas (PGHD) looked back at film/tape, took notes on what we saw, wrote down things we liked, and we will give you some thoughts on the All-State players.   <figure space, righteously skilled, draws the help D & finds shooters, awesome hesitation move, impressed with her body control & scoring in traffic, dazzled by her distributing & court vision, thief on   -25.0 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 2.5 apg   -1st Team All-State as a freshman, 2nd Team All-State as an 8th grader   -Scored 45 points in a single game, impressive shooting form/mechanics, difference-maker with her combination of size & skills for the game, fancy footwork when scoring at the rack, produces from all levels, high skill level, effective step-back move, impressed with her defensive awareness, -2nd Team All-State as a junior   -Shooting range runs deep, she can hit the triple from the volleyball line, good feet/no wasted movement, effective shooting it off the dribble & catch, a pickpocket on defense/anticipates well, instant offensive going the other way after a TO, impressive touch passes in transition, knows how to get the ball to the hot hand   [player_tooltip player_id='331508' first='Jaiden' last='Haile'] (2025) |6'2 F| West Fargo Horace   -24.0 ppg, 15.7 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.6 spg, 61.9% FG   -Dependable/reliable/consistent scorer with a crazy high percentage, a vacuum-rebounder, almost 16 rpg is beyond impressive, a composed scorer who finishes with fortitude, runs the floor well/covers a good amount of ground, contests/alters/blocks shots while going straight up, good vision/passing out of the post, plays quality help-side defense   [player_tooltip player_id='342164' first='Maggie' last='Fricke'] (2026) |5'8 G| Minot   -18.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 5.0 apg   -2nd Team All-State as a freshman, 2nd Team All-State as an 8th grader   -She has a picture-perfect pull-up jump shot, has a flawless follow-through, good feel for the game/controls tempo, I like the pace she plays at, makes good reads/choices, has impressive basketball-coordination, I like how she reads & reacts to the defense, moves well without the basketball, she hoops with razore-sharp instincts   SECOND TEAM All-State   [player_tooltip player_id='243474' first='Paige' last='Breuer'] (2024) |5'7 G| Bismarck   -15.0 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.5 apg   -I like her demeanor on the hardwood, Paige is a reliable & accurate shooter from the charity stripe, a fluid & in-rhythm perimeter shooter, she does the work before the ball gets to her, looks like she knows when to swing the rock and when to attack, pesky on defense, Breuer can cash in the triple from long range   [player_tooltip player_id='378042' first='Jersey' last='Berg'] (2024) |5'11 F| Bismarck   -14.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.5 apg   -Effective in the catch-n-shoot game, spreads & spaces the floor, impressed me with her combo-moves off the dribble, terrific middy, versatile with her size & skill level, dangerous from beyond the arc, knows the game well & has a good understanding of spacing, played great in the playoffs, not just skilled but strong & is a nice athlete   [player_tooltip player_id='240340' first='Brenna' last='Dick'] (2024) |5'9 G| West Fargo Sheyenne   -23.7 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 3.4 apg, 4.6 spg, 40.6% FG, 24.5% 3FG, 79.4% FT   -2nd Team All-State as a junior   -GAMER, rises to the occasion, scored 41 points in a single contest, hot shooter who hit 7 triples in a single game & also had a game with 6 blocks, major playmaker, a three-level scorer who can do it all, pushes tempo, knows when to kick it ahead & when to keep the rock, has a sweet pull-up game, impressed with her left-handed finishes   [player_tooltip player_id='375796' first='Brooklynn' last='Felchle'] (2025) |6'3 C| Bismarck Legacy   -14.0 ppg, 8 rpg, 1 apg   -2nd Team All-State as a sophomore   -She is very efficient around the basket, accomplished & high percentage shooter (58.2%), LONG & strong power forward, arms that never seem to end, wingpan makes her disruptive on defense & is productive on the glass, looks to have a soft scoring touch around the basket, creates space in the paint, provides a strong post presence   [player_tooltip player_id='245588' first='McKenna' last='Johnson'] (2025) |6'2 F| [program_tooltip program_id='712656' first='Mandan' last='']   -15.0 ppg, 10 rpg, 1.5 apg   -2nd Team All-State as a freshman   -Double-Double machine, long & lanky forward, moves her feet well in the paint, rim-protector, Johnson is a game-changer on the defensive end of the floor, blocks shots with her expansive wingspan & impressive timing, intrigued with how often she blocks 7 contests without fouling, high% shooter (50.7%), shares the rock out of the post   [player_tooltip player_id='385163' first='Lauren' last='Reardon'] (2025) |5'8 G| Grand Forks Central   -21.7 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 3.3 apg, 2.1 spg, 36.3% FG, 80.1% FT   -She had some splashy scoring games this season, impressed with her overall skills & body control, has advanced footwork when attacking/finishing around the hoop, showed some impressive lefty scores, keen instincts on D, alleviates pressure & attacks angles, point guard who ran the
